And here’s the part most people missed… he closed his last kilometer in 2:26.

That’s not just fast. That’s elite-level finishing speed after already running close to world record pace for over 12 minutes.

Reigning Olympic champion Sifan Hassan of the Netherlands has withdrawn from the 2026 London Marathon due to an Achilles injury.

“No London Marathon for me,” Hassan wrote on her Instagram page today. “I am disappointed because this race means so much to me but right now my Achilles is holding me back and I’m not ready to be at my best. I wish everyone racing an amazing day out there.”
