That moment can feel brutal.

Because you’re not only grieving the relationship. You’re questioning the memories, the promises, the version of them you thought you knew, and sometimes even your own judgment.

But here’s something important: the fact that manipulation was present does not mean your feelings were fake.

Your love was real.
Your hope was real.
The moments you experienced as meaningful were real to you.

What may change during healing is your understanding of what was happening underneath them.

You don’t have to rewrite your entire past overnight. You’re allowed to grieve what happened, recognise the manipulation, and slowly separate what you genuinely felt from what you were conditioned to believe.

And eventually, the question shifts from “Was any of it real?” to:

“What do I want to be real for me now?”

If you’re trying to make sense of a narcissistic relationship and need clarity, DM us “CLARITY” to enquire about a clarity call with Coach Lakshmi. 🤍

A sound-healing certification doesn’t place you on one fixed path. It gives you a foundation—and from there, you decide how sound fits into the work you feel called to do.

You may begin with personal practice, introduce sound into an existing wellness modality or eventually create experiences that are entirely your own. There is no need to rush into becoming a practitioner overnight. Your confidence, presence and ability to hold space will deepen through continued practice.

Ready to discover where sound could take you?

Healing is not always candles, deep breaths and finally feeling at peace.

Sometimes, healing is anger you were never allowed to express.
Grief you kept postponing.
Boundaries that make other people uncomfortable.
Old wounds resurfacing when you thought you were “over it.”
Choosing yourself and then questioning whether you were too harsh.

It can feel messy because you are unlearning ways of surviving that once kept you safe.

So if your healing doesn’t look peaceful right now, that doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong.

You can have a difficult day without losing all your progress.
You can be triggered without being back at the beginning.
You can grieve and still be growing.

Healing is not about becoming someone who never hurts again.

It is about becoming someone who no longer abandons themselves when it hurts. 🤍

Save this for the days when healing feels heavier than you expected.

Knowing someone is hurting you does not automatically switch off your attachment to them.

You may still remember the loving version of them, hold onto the promises they made or believe that if you try a little harder, the relationship will finally feel safe again.

That is what makes the cycle so powerful: the same person who causes the pain may also offer moments of comfort, affection and hope.

Finding it difficult to leave does not mean you secretly enjoy the mistreatment or lack strength. It may mean you have been conditioned to doubt yourself, prioritise their needs and keep waiting for change.

You do not have to break the entire cycle in one day. Begin by believing your own experience.

If you need support understanding what is keeping you attached, DM us “CLARITY” to learn more.

You don’t need to have it all figured out before you begin.
You don’t need to be musical, spiritually “advanced” or already working in wellness either.

Sometimes, the calling comes first—and the confidence grows through learning, experiencing and practising. If sound has been pulling at your curiosity, that may be enough reason to explore it. ✨

Survivors rarely enter a relationship knowing they are dating a narcissist.

In the beginning, the person may appear attentive, loving and deeply invested. They may mirror your values, respect your boundaries and present themselves as everything you have been looking for.

The controlling behaviour, manipulation, blame-shifting and lack of empathy often emerge gradually—once trust has been built and you are emotionally invested.

By the time you recognise the pattern, you may already be questioning your memory, minimising what happened or holding on to the person they appeared to be at the beginning.

You did not “ignore the signs” simply because the truth became clearer later.

You made decisions based on the version of themselves they chose to show you.

Not knowing beforehand does not make you naïve, foolish or responsible for the harm that followed. The responsibility belongs to the person who manipulated your trust—not to you for offering it genuinely.

If you are beginning to question what you experienced, book a clarity call with Coach Lakshmi. You deserve a safe space to make sense of the relationship without judgment.
