Kejohanan Akuatik MSSWPKL 2023

Buat pertama kali SRI Al-Amin WP menghantar wakil ke pertandingan renang peringkat negeri, dan kami Water Glider Swim Coaching sangat gembira & berbesar hati dapat menjadi sebahagian daripada pengalaman pertama mereka.

Atas semangat dan permintaan dari semua pihak(sekolah, parents & pelajar), kami WGSC memikul tanggungjawab dgn penuh dedikasi untuk membimbing students kerana rata-rata mereka ini masih dalam kategori learn to swim dan first time join swimming competition.

Macam-macam background students kami jumpa. Ada yg belajar dgn parents, ada yg belajar di swimming school, dgn private teacher dan malah ada yg belajar sendiri pun ada.

Jadi masih banyak yg perlu ditambah baik tekniknya, staminanya dan malah ada yg masih tiada water confidence sbb kena training di kolam saiz olimpik dengan kedalaman 2 meter lebih.

Walaupun cuma 2 minggu sahaja persiapan, alhamdulillah banyak peningkatan yg dapat kami saksikan.

Good job Gliders! Jadikan pengalaman mahal ini sebagai bekalan untuk MSSWPKL 2024 nanti dan pastikan tahun depan come back stronger!

Al-Amin Competitive Swim Squad 2023

This is their first batch of swim squad and first training in an Olympic size swimming pool.

Most of them are just graduated from learn to swim program and there are lots lots of room for improvement.

Let's do our best for the coming race, squad!

Ini cerita adventure kami Water Glider Swimming Coaching membawa open water swim squad kita ke Langkawi Swimming Festival 11 Jun 2023 yg lepas.

Alhamdulillah, semua berjalan dengan sangat lancar and here are some of the best highlights from the trip:

1. First time bawak our student, Amsyar & family to join this event. Tahun lepas dtg berdua dgn my swim buddy but this year kami berlima. Best gila naik flight sama2 to ows event yehhuuu

2. This is currently the longest swim event yg saya join after 6.5km Kapas Marang Swimathon bulan Mac haritu. 8km is no joke, stay tuned for the story.

3. Our champ, Amsyar is the youngest swimmer among the top 10 for 400m category under 12. No. 1 sampai 9 semua abang2 kakak2 darjah 4,5,6. Our champ? Darjah 2. Boy, you truly deserved that. I'mma very proud coach. [Turutan no 1 sampai 10 mengikut darjah : 5,5,6,5,4,5,5,6,6,(2!)]

4. Syafiq, my swim buddy manage to swim freestyle all the way sampai finishing line(last year banyak swim breaststroke) with new PB(!) and finish stronger than ever in his 2km event. Mad Respect brothah.

5. And yeah finally, my whole new experience attempting my first longest swim in Pantai Tanjung Rhu, Langkawi.

After flag off at 8am, the first 4km was okay for me, manage to draft some swimmer, overtook some, but the real challenge was on the 2nd loop of 4km.

Bahu dah mula rasa fatigue yg teramat, tengkuk dah mula melecet & my pace drop terribly(dan banyak stop huhu)

Waktu tu air laut tengah pasang, so the current are stronger towards the beach. Time ni memang swim melawan arus yg sangat kuat. Maka itulah treadmill tengah laut yg paling lama dalam hidupku hahaha. Swim tak gerak2 & b*k stop sbb stress hahahah

But giving up isn't an option. Stopped at the feeding boat, rezeki dapat mineral sejuk, then I braced myself up, nekad takkan stop swimming untill the finishing line.

Then i did. I finished 2nd in my age category(!) The pain was sooo unbearable but totally worth the fight.
