Sempena hari Kemerdekaan Malaysia yang ke-69, pengendali radio amatur juga menyambut dengan cara tersendiri, iaitu CQ KEBANGSAAN. Setiap negeri mempunyai isyarat panggilan khas. Kami mewakili negeri Wilayah Persekutuan menggunakan isyarat panggilan 9M26MW. Terdapat 3 Wilayah di Malaysia

*REQUEST TO KEEP EMERGENCY FREQUENCIES CLEAR FOLLOWING MAJOR EARTHQUAKE IN INDONESIA*

15 August 2026

A major magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck the East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) region of Indonesia early this morning. Preliminary reports indicate damage to buildings and disruption to normal communications infrastructure in several affected areas.

In support of ongoing emergency and disaster-response communications, amateur radio operators in Indonesia and throughout the Region are respectfully requested to keep the following frequencies clear and avoid causing interference to emergency traffic:

40 metres: 7.110 MHz
2 metres: 145.100 MHz

7.110 MHz is being used for HF emergency communications, while 145.100 MHz is being used for local VHF coordination in affected areas.

All amateur radio operators are requested to give absolute priority to emergency and disaster-relief traffic on these frequencies and to monitor without transmitting unless specifically requested to assist.

The IARU Region 3 Disaster Communication Committee, together with the relevant emergency communication coordinators and IARU Region 3 officials, remains on standby and is coordinating as necessary to support any requests for amateur radio emergency communication assistance.

EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS – COLOMBIA EARTHQUAKE

Following the earthquake in Colombia, the Colombian Amateur Radio League (LCR) has activated its emergency communications network.

LCR is using the following frequencies for emergency communications in Colombia:

80 m: 3985 kHz
40 m: 7060, 7240, and 7275 kHz
20 m: 14300 kHz
17 m: 18160 kHz
15 m: 21360 kHz

IARU Region 3 urges amateur radio operators throughout Region 3 to respect these frequencies and avoid causing interference whenever they are being used by the Colombian emergency communications network.

Operators are encouraged to monitor these frequencies where propagation permits and to give priority to emergency traffic should it be heard.

We thank all amateur radio operators for their cooperation and support during this emergency response.
