Youth Park was officially opened on 26th February 1972. The sprawling 172 acres park was a former quarry ground located at Pesiaran Kuari, along Jalan Utama (formerly known as Jalan Western), a short distance from the Botanical Garden. In its initial phase, only 42 acres of the huge trac
t was developed and used to create the park, leaving the rest of the area untouched. In the 1980s, while the Council continued to improve the landscaping, provided the maintenance of and added amenities to the park, the NGOs organised activities to make the park attractive to the users
The Youth Park Volleyball group started many years ago however the volleyball session wasn't consistent until 2014 finally the group has grown by having a bunch of Volley enthusiastic which consisted a mixture of players from respective schools in Penang as time goes by these players has become todays veteran. Given the fact that not many players is able to make it to the state or national team and being accepted on the professional court however the volleyball fever never seems to get old. Hence, today the Youth Park team consist of old, middle, and young players, simply a group of people that enjoy playing and creating more volleyball moments. We are currently building the younger team to go for Open competition so if you are interested do join us ! Benefit:
