I can’t believe my first semester of my second year at the John Cranko School is already over. This term has been a really full-on experience for me, pushing me both mentally and physically. There were definitely challenges, like feeling tired, keeping up with the workload, and staying consistent every day. Some days were harder than others, but I got through them by reminding myself of my goals.
Nevertheless, I’m grateful for the opportunity to rehearse and work on a variety of pieces over the past three months. I’m also grateful to be part of The Nutcracker with the Stuttgart Ballet. I’m looking forward to the rest of the school year!

💫 Part 1: Etudes and Variations (Premiere)
Choreography: Choong Wan Chin
Music: Carl Czerny, arranged for orchestra by Knudage Riisager

Synopsis:
An appreciation of ballet through the stages of learning — from the discipline of barre exercises to the excitement of virtuosic variations.

Originally premiered in 1948 by Harald Lander for the Royal Danish Ballet, Études has inspired many adaptations worldwide. For this 10th anniversary celebration, KL Dance Works presents its own unique version, performed by the students of 2025.
