As we gather for Enrolment Day, the 2nd Penang Company marks a meaningful moment in our journey — the passing of leadership from one Captain to the next.

Beyond the awards, promotions, and oaths taken, this occasion reminds us that leadership is a responsibility carried with faithfulness, humility, and service.

We give thanks for the commitment, guidance, and dedication of our outgoing Captain Ewe Hong, whose leadership has helped shape the Company and its members over the years.

As the baton is passed on to the new Captain Andrew Ng, we look forward with unity and hope, trusting that the same spirit of service will continue to lead the 2nd Penang Company forward.

May we continue to stand firm, serve faithfully, and live out our BB motto:

We, the officers and members of the 2nd Penang Company, express our heartfelt condolences on the passing of Mr Daniel Kung on 22 March 2026.

With his passing, the era of our 1952 Pioneer Boys has come to an end, closing a significant chapter in the history of the 2nd Penang Company. It is a sobering reminder that we will no longer be able to welcome any of the original 1952 Pioneer Boys at our future major events and celebrations.

May Mr Daniel Kung rest in peace, and may his life and legacy continue to be remembered with gratitude and honour.

⚓️🇲🇾 ASEAN Navy Showcase 2025
Despite the rain at Swettenham Pier, our 2nd Penang Company Boys’ Brigade members joined thousands of visitors to explore the ten majestic warships berthed in George Town.

We had the privilege of stepping aboard KD Lekiu and KD Lekir—two of the Royal Malaysian Navy’s proudest assets, named after legendary heroes from the Hikayat Hang Tuah. Truly an inspiring experience for our boys! 💙✨

It was a gathering of members, officers, and families to rejoice in success, to rejoice in growth, and to rejoice in commitment. From significant moments to light-hearted moments of celebration, the day reflected living together in faith and mission. • Guard of Honour – Inaugural formation reflecting discipline and unity • Captain's Opening Speech – Inspirational welcome to set the mood for the day • Trooping of Colour – Ceremonial march-in of BB flag • Worship – Praise and worship session enjoyed as one family • Chaplain's Speech – A Word of Encouragement and Faith • Montage Video – Recap of our memories and milestones • Officer Jeopardy – Fun quiz with our officers • Member Testimonial – Personal witness of a BB member • NCO Promotion – Honouring those who are advancing to leadership positions • Award Ceremony – Honouring excellence and commitment • Dedication & Enrolment – Enrolment of members, NCOs, and officers officially • Trooping Out of Colour – Last parade to end the ceremony The climax of the day was the NCO Promotion, Award Ceremony and Dedication & Enrolment. Not only were members being awarded for achievement, but for growth, determination, and servant leadership. As future NCOs were inducted into leadership and others received their long-awaited awards, the hall echoed with pride and jubilation. Enrolment of officers, NCOs, and members was a recommitment to serve with honour, faith, and unison — a firm reminder of the journey we are on together.
