Huh? Can trees talk to each other?😱 Yes! Fungal networks connect them! We underestimated trees' alertness, sociality, sophistication, and intelligence.

👨‍🔬Scientists believe most plant species interact with soil fungi. These fungi connect tree (and other plants) roots to create a mycorrhizal network, or "wood-wide web." Trees share water and nutrients and communicate through networks. Other trees change their behaviour when they receive distress signals about drought, disease, or insect attacks.🐛

Sugar fuels fungi as they scavenge the soil for nitrogen, phosphorus, and other minerals, which the trees absorb and consume. Fungi consume 30% of the sugar trees' photosynthetic energy as a service fee. Fine, hairlike root tips of trees link with microscopic fungal filaments to form a network, which may be a symbiotic relationship or economic exchange.🌱

The network is a lifeline for young saplings in the shaded forest as it is hard for them to receive sunlight for photosynthesis. With the help of big trees, they pump sugar into their roots through a network for them to survive. Mother trees are the largest, oldest, and most fungal-connected trees. 🌳They're not necessarily female, but they're maternal. Deep roots help shallow-rooted seedlings access water. When neighbours struggle, mother trees detect distress signals and increase nutrient flow.

【国庆日 Independence Day】
Good day everyone!🥰
At midnight on August 31, 1957, the British flag was officially lowered, and the Malayan flag was officially raised with the national anthem Negaraku. On the same day, Tunku Abdul Rahman and the people shouted 7 "Merdeka" in Stadium Merdeka. Since then, August 31 has been designated as Malaysia’s National Day. Malaysia has been independent for 65 years. The theme of this year’s National Day is "Keluarga Malaysia Teguh Bersama", as the name suggests, expressing the efforts of the whole people to fight the epidemic together and help all walks of life to tide over the difficulties.

Merdeka signifies coming together in unity to honor our love for our nation, MALAYSIA.🇲🇾 Malaysia is a mixed country where people live in harmony regardless of ethnicity, race, or religion, which distinguishes us. It is a source of pride for us to be referred to as One Malaysia.🥰 It is identifying our passion for the nation, defending our country's honor, and appreciating the wonderful, distinct cultural and historical characteristics we practice.

The global Amazon rainforest incident 2019 is precisely the method of bombing and burning for the purpose of deforestation. In recent year, with the development of industrial areas, human beings selfish cut down tree and destroy the forests. This vaguely remind us that deforestation has become common around the world. As we all know, everyone may know that the benefits of trees are to be used to make paper, become a shelter and protect the ecological balance. But do you know there are other fun facts besides these benefits? So, let’s have a look at the benefits that trees bring to us in perspective of social, environmental and economic.
The benefits of trees in social perspective is that trees can build community spirit and unity. This is because trees provide a range of everyday recreational opportunities and encourage physical activities to help forge a sense of connection to place. For example, senior citizens in assisted living facilities have more exposure to green common space, which has a stronger sense of unity among residents within their neighbourhood. Besides that, trees can reduce stress and improve well-being. This is due to the reason that green spaces provide more oxygen to help us quickly refresh our mind and release tensions. Trees also can improve mental health problems. This is because when we are exposed to a green environment, it can help us to decrease feelings of anxiety, depression, anger and improve our moods.
While the benefits of trees from an environmental perspective is that trees can stabilize and prevent soil erosion. Tree’s large root system acts as a bind toward any loose soil surrounding the tree. The roots will hold the soil in place while stabilizing the tree and improving the drainage of the soil, so that water drains into the ground rather than flowing atop the surface. Besides that, trees can reduce air pollution and greenhouse gases. Through the process of photosynthesis, trees take up carbon dioxide, nitrous oxides, sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide and ozone from the atmosphere. Furthermore, trees also can conserve water and prevent water pollution. Trees reduce the speed of surface water runoff and as such, lessens erosion and prevents toxic substances and chemicals from washing into the water system. While another point of benefit of trees is it beautifies the environment. Trees can mask concrete walls or parking lots, and unsightly views. They muffle sound from nearby streets and freeways, and create an eye-soothing canopy of green.
Trees can reduce flood risk. Expansive tree canopies and root systems help to manage stormwater flows and their heavy metal content. We can also know the coming of seasons through trees, because leaves mark the season. The leaves of trees will change colour through the seasons before they are shed in the fall. Spring - leaf buds appear. Summer - thich with green leaves. Fall - orange or yellow carotenes. Winter - naked of leaves. Moreover, trees can reduce urban temperatures. The trees shade streets and footpaths and their leaves reflect and absorb sunlight, minimising the heat absorbed by houses and buildings during the day. Trees also create wildlife habitat. Trees create shelter and food for a variety of birds and small animals, such as squirrels and beavers. Last but not least, trees can combat climate change / reduction of carbon. Trees remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and release oxygen in its stead also help to limit global warming by providing for a cleaner and healthier climate.
From an economic point of view, trees can improve property value. This is because trees in streets enhance neighbourhood aesthetics and consequently are proven to increase property values Therefore, statistics had estimated that houses in tree-lined streets are valued 30% higher than those without trees. Besides that, trees can provide food. For example, trees provide nutritional products such as fruits, nuts, seeds, leaves, bark and even sap. Trees also can reduce green space maintenance costs. This is because trees prolong the life council assets and infrastructure such as roads or footpaths by the shade they provide. Lastly, trees can reduce energy cost. This is because trees help to shade buildings and reduce the need for air conditioning in the hot weather. Therefore, we can reduce the energy to function the air conditioner because it consumes so much electricity and releases pollution.

【Hari Raya Haji 哈芝节】
Hari Raya Haji also known as Aidiladha or the Great Day of Sacrifice, is a Muslim festival that falls on the 10th day of Zulhijjah. It also commemorates the willingness of the Islamic prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ismail in an act of obedience to Allah. One of the main rituals of the festival is the korban, which involves the sacrificial slaughtering of livestock.👳🏼‍♂️🧕🏼

Generally, the day of celebration begins with the local Muslim rising early in the morning going to pray at the nearby mosque. With new clothes and happy hearts❤️❤️, they spend the day visiting family and friends and sharing large festive meals together.
Goats and sheep may be sacrificed on this day. Some of the meat or a financial sum equivalent to that amount will be donated to the poor so they may celebrate too. The mosques will be brightly lit with decorative lights for the festivities. Gifts 🎁may be exchanged and the sound of firecrackers🧨 can be heard at night. Many of the local Muslims might invite their non-Muslim friends to join them for a meal at home to share the celebration.
