What is the SMC CL Series?

The SMC CL Series Fine Lock Cylinder combines a pneumatic cylinder with an integrated mechanical locking mechanism that can securely hold the piston rod at virtually any position along the stroke.

Available bore sizes:
Ø16 to Ø160 mm
Spring Locking
Pneumatic Locking
Spring + Pneumatic Locking
Locking in one or both directions depending on model
This allows equipment to maintain position even during:
Emergency stops
Air pressure failure
Power interruptions
Maintenance operations
