The sinking of the Titanic in April 1912 on her maiden voyage affected the Cruise ship Industry. People had gained so much confidence in cruises and were so much comfortable with The Titanic; the owners gave people confidence when they said "...God cannot sink it". When it sank, cruise line business went down as a lot of people were afraid. It took a lot of time and convincing for people to start accepting the cruises. There are various concepts that come at play when we talk of the hospitality product. The concept of inseparability comes to mind when I think of the hospitality industry. Service providers need to be aware of this concept and do the right thing - train the staff. What does this concept say?
