ONEFA Blog ONEFA is currently having 24 registered members (teams) consist of soccer and netball respectively.
Sport Organisation in Aminuis constituency known as Omongua Netball and Football Association (ONEFA) that was established in 2004 by its members to develop sports in the constituency. ONEFA is an affiliate member of the Namibia Rural Sports Federation (known as Federation), an umbrella body, affiliated to NFA where all different sports organisations from different regions are registered. The Const
ituency has an all-star team that represents the constituency during the federation sanctioned tournaments. The current executive committee was elected in 2011 and will serves for the period of 3 years and it’s responsible for the day to day running of the Association affairs. Notwithstanding that, ONEFA have the following two standing committees;

• Technical committee that is responsible for coordinating the all-stars team.
• Organising committee that ensures the smooth running of all tournaments hosted by ONEA.
1. WHY ONEFA EXIST
ONEFA exist to improve sports in rural community by organising sports events to the benefit of the youth in the constituency. It also exists for the alleviation of criminal activities amongst the youth and it also provides a different social platform or the youth. ONEFA sports events benefits the community as follow:
3.1 Enhancement of Better Performance and Creation of Better Future
We deem our sports as organised that assist the youth that are struggling in school or facing problems at home to feel a sense of belonging and connected to their peers. Sports participation is also linked to better performance that lead to the achieving higher grades in schools. Sports activities in general seems to up the odds of better life chances by providing overall academic and intellectual benefits.
3.2 Improved Peer Network
Organized sports give troubled youths a chance to meet other teens who may have a positive influence or at least share a few things in common. Besides the networking of players, ONEFA events bring together different stake holders that exchange information being it educational, developmental or social. Participation in sports events helps to keep the youth active most of their time and they get less involved in unwelcome events such as crimes.
