Erongo Rugby Academy- ERA

The match between the ERA and Eastern Bulls rugby teams on Saturday was anything but predictable, at the Narraville Rugby Stadium as the Eastern Bulls fought hard to try and keep up with Erongo Rugby Academy (ERA) who were determined not to lose in their own territory.

ERA made sure they have a spot in the Namibia Rugby Union First Leaque quarter finals when they beat the Eastern Bulls on their home ground.

ERA completed their group stage matches on a positive note, after recording 5 tries against the Eastern Bulls who came all the way from Gobabis.

Chessborough Lawrence, the ERA Fullback was on fire and scored the first two tries of the match.

These tries were followed by amazing conversions by the flyhalf of the team, Tarasio Croza.

The Eastern Bulls pushed back and by halftime the score was 19-6 with ERA in the lead.

The five tries came from obvious quick thinking and moving from the individual team players.

The forwards played a major role and secured good and quick balls for the fast backs.

ERA made sure they dominated set plays, although there were
only 7 forwards left for 20 minutes of the game. The ERA lock
Lee-Uwardo Sitze was flashed with a yellow card before the end of the game for his dangerous tackle in the match and Pierre Beukes
(ERA Number 8) was sent to the sin-bin in the second half.

ERA moves forward to the next round of the league, the quarter
finals, after finishing second in the central group of the first league.

This is going to be the first time the team moves forward to knockout rounds, in the three years
