42.2km is no small thing.
Months of early mornings, tired legs, discipline, and choosing to keep going anyway.
Proud of you, Schalk.
Cape Town is waiting.
Go make it count. 🖤❤️
Towards Africa’s first Major!

Not just a club. A community.
Early mornings. Long routes. Heavy legs.
And still… people keep showing up for each other.
Some come to get faster.
Some come to clear their heads.
Some just needed people who get it.
That’s what we’re about. Run with us. 🖤❤️

Well done Hennie Lacock!
The howling winds and heavy rain made it proper brutal out there, but you pushed through with real BRG resilience.

Where desert grit meets ocean flow! 🔥
NEW EVENT LOGO. NEW EVENT SLOGAN. 🌊🏃♂️
The Bachmus Coastal Marathon returns for its 3rd year on 3 October 2026, unveiling a bold new identity inspired by the route, the runners and the raw beauty of Namibia’s coastline.
Introducing our new event slogan:
WHERE DESERT GRIT MEETS OCEAN FLOW.
The desert represents grit.
The strength to keep going when the road gets tough.
The discipline, endurance and resilience every runner carries within them.
The ocean represents flow.
The rhythm of the run.
The freedom of movement.
The calm, focus and energy that takes over when everything finally clicks into place.
And along the breathtaking B2 coastal road between Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, those two worlds meet.
A road where runners experience the power of the ancient Namib Desert beside the endless Atlantic Ocean.
A route that challenges you, rewards you and stays with you long after the finish line.
Same iconic route.
Same unforgettable atmosphere.
A bold new era for the Bachmus Coastal Marathon.

All the best to Hennie taking on the False Bay 50 💪🏻
50km along that unreal coastal route… Kleinmond through to Gordon’s Bay.
But it’s not just the distance, those winds are no joke.
Proper test of grit tomorrow.
We’re behind you all the way, Hennie.

10K. 21. 42.
Didn’t really matter.
Some were chasing times.
Some just wanted that finish line.
Some refused to quit… simple as that.
And somehow, everyone got there.
First-timers.
Seasoned legs.
The ones running… and the ones shouting on the side of the road.
This one felt like a team thing.
Proud of every BRG runner who showed up and saw it through.
Now go rest those legs.

Walvis Bay to Cape Town.
Different distances… same discipline.
Some personal bests dropped. Some got their first one done. And a few went back-to-back… because apparently once wasn’t enough. A lot of early mornings. A lot of long runs. A lot of work no one really saw. This weekend just made it visible.
We showed up. We finished.
And honestly… that’s what counts.

They’ve put in the miles. The early mornings. The quiet battles no one saw. This weekend, it’s not just a race.
It’s proof.
Proof of discipline.
Proof of resilience.
Proof that showing up… again and again… changes you.
To every runner carrying our colours into Two Oceans —you’re not just running for yourself.
You’re running for every 5AM start.
Every skipped excuse.
Every version of you that didn’t quit.
🇳🇦 Namibia stands behind you.
The brave. The relentless. The ones who finish what they start.
Build resilience. Gain speed. Cross that line.
We’re with you.
We believe in you.
Now go earn it. 🏁🔥

Land of contrast. Built for the brave. 🇳🇦
Set the goal. Then run it.
