Rehoboth, Namibia โ€“ May 27, 2026 โ€” The Namibia Football Association - NFA has announced the draw for the Round of 32 of the upcoming NFA Cup, held earlier today at Football House in Windhoek.

The knockout matches are scheduled to take place over the weekend of May 29 to 31, 2026. Venue details are yet to be confirmed.

Several teams were omitted from the competition due to disqualifications. Correctional Eleven FC, Unam Rundu Campus, and !Ugab Football Club were excluded for specific reasons.

Correctional Eleven FC and Unam Rundu Campus were disqualified because they already have teams representing the same institution and ministry (UNAM Football Club and PstBet Khomas Nampol Football Club), violating competition regulations. !Ugab FC was disqualified for fielding a cup-tied player.

In their place, Dynamos, who were runners-up after losing to Correctional Eleven FC in the final, have been reinstated. Unam Rundu Campus has been replaced by United Stars, while !Ugab FC has been replaced by PUBS FC.

To complete the 32-team field, the runner-up teams from the Nationwide First Division were also included in the draw.

They are Young Brazilians FC (NFA Southern Stream First Division), Golden Biggs (NorthWest Stream First Division- Namibia) and United Stars (North East Stream First Division).

Some notable teams, including Julinho Athletic F.C., Bucks Buccaneers, and Tigers Sports Club, indicated they would not participate this season, citing timing conflicts and financial constraints associated with maintaining players beyond the season.

Looking back at the award ceremony.
The Southern Stream First Division successfully concluded its 4-day Administration Workshop, aimed at strengthening club administration and improving professionalism within the league structures. Club administrators who participated in the workshop were awarded certificates in recognition of their attendance and commitment to capacity building.

The workshop covered key areas including governance, compliance, communication, documentation, operational planning, and effective club administration in line with Namibia Football Association standards. The initiative was also attended by two Executive Committee members, demonstrating the leadershipโ€™s commitment to administrative development within the stream.

Speaking at the conclusion of the workshop, Ms. Roberta Jossop emphasized the importance of knowledge transfer within clubs. She urged participants to ensure that the skills and information acquired during the workshop are shared with fellow committee members and club structures to promote sustainability, accountability, and professionalism.

Ms. Jossop further highlighted that the true success of the workshop would not only be measured by attendance, but by the implementation of the knowledge gained and the strengthening of governance within clubs across the Southern Stream First Division.
