Police recover yet another stolen vehicle

A WHITE Toyota Hilux (N5449SH), which was stolen at Ompundja village in the Oshana Region shortly before midnight on Saturday, was recovered at Ongwediva on Sunday and a 32-year-old male suspect was arrested in connection with the crime.

The theft occurred while the complainant was allegedly off-loading goods from the idling vehicle and transferring them to another vehicle at his residence.

An unknown suspect jumped into the idling vehicle and drove off.

According to the police, information provided by a security guard who was on duty at nearby premises helped trace the stolen vehicle, which is valued at N$150,000.

That was the latest stolen vehicle recovered in four days, hours after the theft was reported.

Early Thursday morning, a white Toyota Corolla (N76290SH) was stolen from Oshakati West and was recovered hours later at Omungwelume in the Ohangwena Region.
