Mulunga Appointed REIAoN Chairperson

The Renewable Energy Industry Association of Namibia (REIAoN) has appointed Paulus Mulunga as its new Chairperson.

Mulunga, who previously served as the Association’s Secretary, says his focus will be on moving REIAoN from advocacy to coordinated action.

His priorities include solar PV quality and installers, net metering, independent power producers, electric mobility, green hydrogen, local manufacturing, and engagement with government and regulators.

He also plans to strengthen REIAoN’s engagement with the Electricity Control Board (ECB) on generator licensing, battery energy storage, electric vehicle regulation, net metering, and mini-grid regulation.

Mulunga says REIAoN will also focus on regional power trading, transmission, and grid expansion as Namibia seeks to expand its role in Southern Africa’s energy sector.
