Abeokuta Sports Club

The Investiture of Patrons, Vice Patrons, Induction of new Members into the Club and Commissioning of Project took place on Friday December 2, 2022 at the Sir Kesington Adebukunola Adebutu Legacy Hall Abeokuta Sports Club

As part of the ceremony, the Inductees, who were an unprecedented 92 in number, with the Executive Committee members of the Club led by the President, Mr. Olusola Egbesola participated in a Keep-Fit Exercise during a Session which started at about 8:30am and also had a tour of the various sporting Sections of the Club.

As a very important part of the day's event, the newly constructed Olumide Osunsina Arena inside Oba Lipede Garden was commissioned by the Chairman, Registered Trustees, Hon. Justice Deinde Shoremi (Rtd.) as we also had the donor and facilitator, Otunba Olumide Osunsina and his lovely wife, members of the Executive Committee, esteemed members and friends of the Club.

Amongst many eminent personalities present at the event were Her Excellency, Engr (Mrs.) Noimot Salako-Oyedele , the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, Our Life Patron the Alake of Egbaland ably represented by Alh. Lai Labode, Olowu of Owu Kingdom - Oba Matemilola, Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Lanre Bankole and many more.

King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall (K1 De Ultimate) who was also one of the several Vice Patrons that was appointed during the event was on the music stand to thrill the guests as always.

APPOINTMENT OF PROFESSOR ADEKUNLE OLANREWAJU ADEOGUN AS THE DEPUTY VICE-CHANCELLOR OF TASUED

All praise, glory and adoration is due to Almighty God as we announce the appointment of one of our own, Professor Adekunle Olanrewaju ADEOGUN as the Deputy Vice-chancellor of Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) by His Excellency; Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun - MFR , the Executive Governor of Ogun State.

Professor Adeogun is currently the Social and Publicity Secretary of the Keep-Fit Section.

As an ambassador (member) of our great Club, we wish him all the best in his quest to deliver in his new role.

May the Lord continue to uphold and lead him unto glory in the new journey.

APPOINTMENT OF PROFESSOR AKINOLA KEHINDE AKINLABI AS THE RECTOR OF OYSCATECH

All praise, glory and adoration is due to Almighty God as we announce the appointment of one of our own, Professor Akinola Kehinde AKINLABI as the Rector of Oyo State College of Agriculture, Science and Technology (OYSCATECH) Igboora by His Excellency; Engineer Seyi Makinde , the Executive Governor of Oyo State.

Professor Akinlabi is the Immediate Past Mayor of Moonlight Section and also the Immediate Past Tombola Manager.

As an ambassador (member) of our great Club, we wish him all the best in his quest to deliver in his new role.
