A nurse identified as Chinemerem Pascalina Chuwumeziem has reportedly been k!|led by suspected ‘one chance’ robb£ry syndicate in Abuja.

The tr@gic inc!dent occurred on January 3, 2026, shortly after she closed from her afternoon duty and was on her way home. Her l!feless b0dy was discovered by the roadside on the morning of January 4 and was later deposited at the FMC Jabi m0rtuary.

Until her untimely d3ath, Chinemerem was a staff of the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Abuja.

Her d3ath has sparked outrage and gr!ef within the nursing community, with colleagues and stakeholders calling for justice and an immediate, thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the inc!dent.

Confirming the development, the Chairman of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM), FCT Council, Comrade Jama D. Medan, released a statement on Monday, January 5, acknowledging the inc!dent and condemning the growing insecurity.
