NIGTEQ Bids Farewell to Beloved Coach Kennedy

Today, the Teqball community gathered to pay their respects to Coach Kennedy Akpovona, a devoted and passionate coach who left an indelible mark on the sport. He was laid to rest in a ceremony attended by family, friends, and members of the Teqball community.

A friendly match was held in his honor, featuring players and teams he had coached and mentored throughout his career.

Engr. Habu Ahmed Gumel, President of NIGTEQ, expressed his deepest condolences, stating that the Federation and the Nigeria Teqball family felt the pain of the Delta State Teqball Association family, the Teqball Coaches Forum, and all the players who had been tutored by Coach Kennedy.

"Coach Ken was more than just a coach to us," said a player who had the privilege of being coached by him.

"He was a mentor, a friend, and a true ambassador of the sport. We will miss him dearly, but his legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched."

Coach Ken's dedication, expertise, and passion for Teqball inspired countless players, coaches, and fans. His contributions to the sport will be deeply missed, but his memory will continue to inspire and motivate future generations of Teqball players and enthusiasts.

The Teqball community extends its deepest condolences to Coach Ken's family and loved ones. May he rest in peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire us all.
