OFFICIAL PHASE 1 STANDINGS CONFIRMED
Following the withdrawal of Nigeria Customs and Dam Conference Giants, the league structure was adjusted from 20 teams to 18 teams, creating an imbalance in the number of games played across some groups.
With teams in certain groups playing fewer games than others, the league board applied the FIBA Official Basketball Rules (Appendix D.4 & D.5) regarding cross-group classifications. Under these provisions, teams are ranked using winning percentage rather than total wins when comparing teams that have played an unequal number of games.
This approach ensures a fair and consistent classification as the Savannah Conference (Groups A & B) and Atlantic Conference (Groups A & B) are merged ahead of Phase 2.
