TOPIC: THE POWER OF GIVING WITH PURPOSE
SCRIPTURE FOR TODAY
2 Corinthians 9:10–11 (KJV)
“Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness; Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.”
TODAY'S DEVOTIONAL
Giving is one of the ways God allows us to participate in His divine purpose on the earth.
Every seed placed in the hands of God carries the potential to produce a harvest beyond the moment of its sowing.
When we give with understanding, we are not merely parting with something; we are releasing a seed for kingdom purposes.
A purposeful giver understands that generosity can become a channel through which God blesses lives and advances His work.
God is the One who gives seed to the sower and bread for food.
This means that what is in our hands is not accidental; God can entrust resources to us for specific purposes.
Our responsibility is to recognise the difference between what should be consumed and what should be sown.
Wisdom enables us to handle God's provision faithfully and become useful instruments in His kingdom.
When we give with the right motive, our generosity produces more than material results.
Paul teaches that generous giving produces thanksgiving to God and increases the fruits of righteousness.
Our offering can support the work of God, strengthen ministry, meet genuine needs, and become a testimony of His goodness.
Therefore, never underestimate what God can accomplish through a seed that is surrendered to Him in faith.
Become a faithful steward who recognises that your resources can become instruments of divine impact.
PRAYER AND MEDITATION
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me seed to sow and resources to steward.
Give me wisdom to recognise the opportunities You place before me to give and bless others.
Purify my motives and teach me to give with love, faith, understanding, and purpose.
Let every seed I sow contribute to the advancement of Your kingdom and bring glory to Your name.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
DAILY CONFESSION/DECLARATION
1. I declare that God is my source, and I am a faithful steward of His resources.
2. I receive wisdom to know what to keep, what to give, and what to sow.
3. Every seed I sow in obedience shall produce kingdom impact and bring glory to God.
4. I am becoming increasingly generous, compassionate, faithful, and purposeful in my giving.
5. My life and resources shall continually become a blessing to others and an instrument for the advancement of God's kingdom in Jesus mighty name, AMEN!
