SELL ANYTHING – Simple Truth for Everyday Nigerians.
Emeka's salary just dropped last week. Before he could even smile, school fees came, landlord knocked, and his younger brother needed urgent money. He sighed, “If only I had one small side hustle to support me.”
But here’s the thing… Emeka actually knows how to bake meat pie. He keeps saying, “Market is hard, people won’t buy.” So he hides his skill, waiting for “big capital” before he starts.
The real problem is not the meat pie. It’s that many of us don’t know how to *show people the value* in what we’re offering.
Here’s how you can start selling anything, step by step:
1. Begin with what you already have (skill, product, or idea).
2. Package it well. Even pure water sells better when the nylon is neat.
3. Talk about the benefit, not just the name. Don’t say “I sell meat pie.” Say “Hot meat pie that can hold your stomach till evening.”
4. Start small. Sell to friends, neighbours, colleagues. Let word of mouth spread.
5. Keep improving. Listen to feedback, adjust, and grow.
The truth: Nobody owes you sales. People buy only when they believe your product solves their problem.
So, my guy, do not wait for perfect conditions. Start with what you have, package it with sense, and learn how to show people the value. That’s how you can sell anything.
