I was always broke… not because I didn’t earn, but because I didn’t know how to handle money.”
Like many people, I struggled with my finances.
Always in debt.
If month end had not come, I couldn’t spend.
Salary was never enough.
And the painful part?
I couldn’t even live the life I truly desired.
Month after month… same cycle.
Until I got tired.
And like the lepers in 2 Kings 7

I made a decision:
“I will not stay here.”

And truthfully… the absence wasn’t the only thing... the hurt was deep.
My father hurt me in ways that left marks I carried for years.
Now, I’m married to a man who is fully present, not just with me, but with our child.
And honestly?
It still surprises me sometimes.
For a few seconds, I catch myself in awe of the little things he does…
the things a present, loving, God-fearing husband and father should do.
But to me, it’s more than just “normal.”

Watching him show up daily for our son…
Seeing him love, lead, and care intentionally…
It’s rewriting parts of my story I didn’t even realize were broken.
And beyond that…
this marriage has helped me forgive.
In ways I didn’t think were possible,
I’ve found the grace to let go, to heal, and to move forward.
And I’ve come to understand something deeply:
The right relationship can be healing.
Sometimes, it’s God’s way of restoring what you lacked…
of showing you love in ways you’ve never experienced before.
So to the single person reading this...don’t give up on love.
Be intentional. Do it the right way.
Because the kind of love you truly desire is possible.
