This condition is usually the result of long-term damage and requires treatments like dialysis or a kidney transplant for survival.

The most effective way to prevent kidney failure is by managing the "silent" conditions that cause it, specifically diabetes and high blood pressure, which account for roughly two-thirds of all cases .

✅Manage Blood Sugar: High blood sugar can scar and damage the tiny blood vessels in your kidneys . If you have diabetes, check your levels regularly and work with your doctor to meet your A1C goals.

✅Control Blood Pressure: Hypertension strains kidney arteries, eventually weakening them . Aim for a reading below 120/80 mmHg. Even small reductions can slow the progression of existing kidney damage [32].
