15KM ROAD WALK – MAN O’ WAR NIGERIA, ABIA STATE COMMAND.

The 15KM road walk organized by the 144 Battalion, Nigerian Army, on Saturday, 20th August 2026, was a successful and memorable exercise.

Man O’ War Nigeria, Abia State Command, joined the Nigerian Army and other security agencies in the exercise.

The State Commander, MC Rev. Simon Onwubiko (FWIP), was represented by the Deputy State Commander, Training, Operations & Rescue, DMC Victor Kanayo Onwubuya.

Speaking after the walk, he encouraged officers and men to remain disciplined, focused and committed to their responsibilities. He noted that the exercise would help prepare personnel for the important task of supporting the protection of schools under the Safe School Initiative Programme, in line with the National Commander’s mandate.

He also assured that the Command would continue to work with relevant agencies and stakeholders to make the Safe School Initiative a success.

The Deputy State Commander, TOR, on behalf of the officers and men, appreciated the State Commander for approving the use of the newly customized T-shirts and for giving the Command the opportunity to participate in the 15KM road walk.
