Manchester United have put contract discussions with Bruno Fernandes on hold for now. Despite the delay, club officials are understood to be comfortable with the situation and plan to begin talks with the Portuguese midfielder over an improved long-term deal before the end of 2026. Fernandes is coming off arguably his strongest season since joining United, but questions surrounding his future at Old Trafford and the prospect of a new contract have once again come into focus.
Manchester United remain interested in signing Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni. He has been identified as a midfield reinforcement this summer with first choice Elliot Anderson more and more likely to join Manchester City.
Mason Greenwood is expected to leave Marseille this summer after a difficult spell in the final few months of the season. Saudi Pro League clubs are showing strong interest in the Jamaica international ahead of the transfer window. Manchester United reportedly retain a 50% sell-on clause for the 24-year old.
AS Roma are interested in making the signing of Mason Greenwood and are set to join the race to secure his transfer alongside Turkish giants Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray. Manchester United sold Greenwood to Marseille in 2024 for around £26M.
Sunderland hope to beat Marseille to the signing of Charleroi and Algeria midfielder Yassine Titraoui. He's also been linked to Leeds United this week. They, like Sunderland, have followed his progress in recent months with a view to strengthening their midfield.
Everton are exploring a move for Gabriel Jesus this summer, but only if a deal can be struck at the right price. Arsenal are understood to value the Brazilian at around £20M, although the Toffees are reluctant to meet that figure. Jesus' wages are also seen as a major obstacle to any potential agreement. David Moyes is keen to add an experienced striker, but Everton will likely push for a cut-price deal if talks progress.
Bernardo Silva has changed his plans and will now make a decision on his future after the World Cup. The original intention was to resolve things before the tournament, but Silva recognises that nothing has been finalised yet and wants to concentrate fully on Portugal's campaign. As his agent, Jorge Mendes, explained: “Bernardo will decide after the World Cup.”
Manchester City have seen an opening bid for Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson turned down. Despite Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis and Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak both attending UEFA’s Champions League dinner in Budapest last Thursday, there is no indication that Anderson’s future was a topic of discussion between the pair.
Sandro Tonali is emerging as strong option for Manchester City if they can't get the Elliot Anderson deal get done.
Rico Lewis is assessing his future at Manchester City, with the 21-year-old yet to decide if he will seek a move away from the club during the summer transfer window.

Liverpool have joined Manchester United, Arsenal and PSG in the race for Mateus Fernandes. West Ham have informed the 21-year-old midfielder he can leave this summer following internal talks, with the relegated club expected to demand around £80M for one of their most valuable assets.
Liverpool have opened discussions with RB Leipzig as they intensify their interest in forward Yan Diomande. Leipzig have remained firm in their stance that the 19-year-old is not for sale, with any potential deal expected to require an offer exceeding £110M. However, Liverpool may be hesitant to meet that valuation, having already spent around £450M last summer while still needing to address other areas of the squad during the current transfer window.
Andoni Iraola is set to arrive on Merseyside to finalise his move as Liverpool's new head coach. A verbal agreement has already been reached and the Spaniard is expected to put pen to paper shortly after arriving. Iraola is also planning to bring several trusted members of his backroom team to Anfield, including Pablo de la Torre, Tommy Elphick, Shaun Cooper and Tom Webber.
Tottenham Hotspur and Jan Paul van Hecke are close to agreeing personal terms on a contract. The player keen on the move and could be made before the World Cup.
Tottenham Hotspur have made an offer for Brighton & Hove Albion centre-back Jan Paul van Hecke. Brighton rejected the initial bid as it fell short of their valuation, though talks between the two clubs are still ongoing.
