What happens when you stop guessing and start learning with direction?
You start getting results, the kind that move you ahead of every “self-taught” beginner still trying to figure things out on their own.
That’s exactly what our VA Training at ITSW Academy is built for.
It’s 6 weeks of guided learning, real client-style projects, and honest feedback that helps you grow, not just learn.
And here’s the sweet part: our best-performing student will get a chance to secure a role with our agency.
Cohort 2 starts on October 21st, 2025.
The early bird registration is still open, don’t wait till it’s full.

When I first started freelancing, I won’t lie, the waiting period used to mess with my head.
You’d open LinkedIn and see someone celebrating a new client every week… meanwhile, you’ve sent out 20 proposals and still nothing.
You start asking yourself, “What am I doing wrong?”
But over time, I learned that growth doesn’t always show up as fast as you expect. Sometimes it’s quiet, like something building in the background.
Here’s what helped me stay grounded:
1️⃣ I stopped comparing my beginning to someone else’s middle.
2️⃣ I started celebrating small wins, even when it was just getting my first proposal viewed or a client replying, “Thanks, I’ll get back to you.”
3️⃣ I kept learning. Skill by skill, tool by tool, till things started clicking.
4️⃣ And most importantly, I stayed consistent. Even when it didn’t look like anything was happening.
That’s why inside ITSW Academy, we don’t just teach tools, we teach patience, clarity, and positioning. Because getting clients isn’t luck, it’s preparation meeting opportunity.
Our October Cohort starts on the 21st, and if you’ve been thinking of building a skill that actually gets you paid, this is your sign to start.
You can still register now before classes get filled up.

If you really want to stop competing on price, you need to find your niche.
That’s how VAs move from doing basic tasks to landing high-value clients who respect their work.
Here are a few areas you can specialize in as a Virtual Assistant:
✅ Administrative support – Managing emails, calendars, and travel plans. You help businesses stay organized and stress-free.
✅ Social media management – Scheduling posts, engaging with followers, and tracking insights. You keep brands visible and consistent.
✅ Customer support – Handling inquiries, tickets, and follow-ups. You help businesses build trust and retain clients.
✅ Project assistance – Coordinating tasks, managing timelines, and tracking reports. You make sure projects get completed smoothly.
✅ Content support – Research, editing, and publishing. You keep creators and businesses consistent with their output.
When you specialize, it becomes easier for clients to understand your value, and much harder for them to replace you.
At ITSW Academy, we help you identify your strengths, build niche-specific skills, and position yourself to attract the right clients.

Learning alone doesn’t bring clients, and that’s why our VA training at ITSW Academy is different.
In Cohort 1, our students didn’t just learn tools; they learned how to show up, how to position themselves, package their services, and pitch with confidence.
By the time they finished, they weren’t just “learning skills”… they were ready to use them and get paid for it.
Cohort 2 is your chance to do the same, to move from learning to earning.
Registration is now open. Click the link below to join before classes begin on October 21st.

I see this mistake a lot with Virtual Assistants and freelancers.
We think the best way to show our value is by throwing out a long list of tools and skills.
It usually looks like this:
→ Google Calendar
→ Spreadsheet
→ Zillow
→ Dropbox
But let’s be honest, reading that feels like scrolling through a CV.
The real shift came when I stopped treating posts like lists and started telling stories.
Instead of saying, “I know Dropbox,” I shared how I used it to organize and centralize client files, so the whole team could access what they needed without wasting time.
Instead of saying, “I use Google Calendar,” I explained how I set up a scheduling system that helped a client manage calls smoothly and avoid double bookings.
That’s when people started engaging more, because stories connect, lists don’t.
Clients don’t just want to know what tool you know. They want to know the difference you can make with it.
So here’s the takeaway: If you’re a VA (or in any field), don’t just show the tools. Show the results. Show the impact. That’s what gets attention. That’s what builds trust.
Lastly, if you’re interested in joining ITSW Academy’s next session, here’s your chance to lock it in at ₦30,000 instead of ₦35,000.
This offer ends tonight, and it’s the lowest fee we’re offering.
This is also the last cohort for 2025, which means it’s your final chance to prepare, skill up, and step into 2026 with confidence.
If you’ve been thinking about it, don’t wait.

Confession Time 🤣: Yesterday before my webinar, I prayed a very funny prayer.
“God, please don’t let the light or network embarrass me today.”
And honestly, He answered 🙏🏾
We always think gratitude is only for the big things….
($5k jobs, dream houses, massive promotions)
But sometimes, it’s the little mercies that carry us through:
→ The network that stayed stable during an important call.
→ The unexpected smile that eased your stress.
→ The friend who showed up right on time.
→ Or that inner peace you can’t even explain.
For me, hosting my webinar without technical wahala was a testimony on its own.
It’s the last Sunday in September, and I just want to say thank You for both the big and the small wins.
❤️ What’s one “small mercy” you’re grateful for this month?

I still remember the first time a recruiter asked me: “What are your salary expectations?”
I froze.
And then I said the worst possible thing:
“I’m open to anything.”
At the time, I thought I was being flexible.
But what I was really doing was underselling myself.
Here’s what I’ve learned since then:
Saying things like “I’m open to anything” or “Whatever fits your budget” only makes you sound unsure. And when you don’t define your worth, you leave room for low offers.
A better way to handle it is this:
“Based on my experience and the scope of work, I’m looking at a range of [$X–$Y]. I’m open to discussing depending on the overall package.”
That kind of answer tells the recruiter you’ve done your homework, you know your value, and you’re professional, without sounding desperate.
This picture reminds me of the day I was prepared to step out, and right then, a client called and asked me the same question 🤣“What are your salary expectations?”
That moment taught me the importance of always being prepared with the right answer.
The truth is simple: their budget is their business, but your value is your responsibility.
Do you think it’s better to give a range or wait for the recruiter’s budget first?

Freelancing vs Remote Work, What’s the Real Difference?
A lot of people mix these two up, but they’re not the same thing. Let me break it down in a simple way 👇
* Freelancing
Freelancers work for themselves. You’re not tied to one company, you take on projects from different clients.
✅ The sweet part:
• You choose who you want to work with
• You set your own rates
• Total freedom with your time
• You can build multiple streams of income
⚠️ The not-so-sweet part:
• No fixed salary every month
• No benefits like health insurance unless you sort it yourself
• You always have to market yourself to get gigs
• Sometimes you have plenty of jobs, other times it’s dry
*Remote Work
Here, you’re an employee but you work from home (or anywhere outside the office).
✅ The good side:
• Stable salary + employee benefits
• Your tasks are already structured for you
• Opportunity for career growth in the company
• No stress of daily commuting
⚠️ The downside:
• Less freedom compared to freelancing
• You report to just one employer
• You don’t always choose the projects you work on
• Can feel lonely if the company culture isn’t engaging
* Main Difference:
👉 Freelancing = More freedom, less stability.
👉 Remote Work = More stability, less freedom.
At the end of the day, it’s about what you want right now, do you prefer the freedom of freelancing or the stability of remote work?
Let me hear your thoughts 👇
