Like-Minds FC concludes a Nationwide League One season defined by grit, evolution, and a steadfast refusal to back down.
While the scoreboard throughout the season reflected the "mix of results" inherent in grassroots football, the primary objective has been achieved: Like-Minds FC has successfully maintained its status in the Nationwide League One. In a league as volatile and competitive as the NLO, avoiding the drop is a testament to the tactical discipline and mental toughness of the squad.
Football is nothing without the people who stand behind the badge. Whether you were cheering from the stands at Area 10 or following our updates from afar, your energy was the "twelfth man" that pushed us through the most grueling minutes of the season.
Your high expectations keep us sharp.
We recognize the areas where we fell short, and we take those lessons into the break to ensure a more consistent performance in the coming year.
Relegation was avoided, but our ambitions go much higher. With the 2026 season behind us, the work for the next campaign begins immediately. We remain hopeful, energized, and committed to returning stronger, more clinical, and ready to challenge at the top of the table.

HISTORY MADE: Like-Minds FC Secure Historic Quarterfinal Berth in FCT Federation Cup Thriller
It was a day for the history books as Likeminds FC showcased grit, talent, and nerves of steel to edge out Starting 11 FC of Abuja in a pulsating encounter at the ongoing 2026 FCT Federation Cup.
In what will be remembered as a landmark moment for our club, we triumphed 4–3 on penalties after a 2–2 stalemate in regulation time, securing a spot in the quarterfinals for the first time since inception in 2022.
REPORT
The match began with Like-Minds FC asserting their dominance early on. The breakthrough came in the 36th minute when Meshack Awoje latched onto a perfectly weighted through ball, calmly slotting it home to give the us a well-deserved lead.
The momentum stayed with us after the break.
A fluid team move early in the second half saw Daniel George double the advantage, putting us firmly in the driving seat. However, the resilient Starting 11 FC clawed their way back into the game with two late goals to level the score at 2–2 and force the tie into a high-stakes shootout.
During the shootout, our boys converted four clinical spot-kicks, with goalkeeper Alfred Bature making one crucial save.
This victory is more than just a progression in the tournament; it marks the first time in the club’s four-year history that Like-Minds FC have qualified for the Quarterfinals of the President Cup (State Preliminaries). Since our founding in 2022, the club has worked tirelessly toward this level of competitive success.
The journey continues. The quest for glory remains.
