It is both legally absurd and morally disgraceful for a suspended lawmaker, who is yet to comply with Senate regulations and binding court directives, to audaciously attempt to resume plenary duties through a public spectacle and media incitement. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, suspended for gross misconduct, continues to operate in clear violation of both legislative protocol and judicial authority, thereby bringing the integrity of the Nigerian Senate into disrepute.

Let it be made abundantly clear that the partial obedience to a court ruling is not compliance. Appealing a portion of a judgment while flouting the rest is a gross display of legal illiteracy, incompetence, and institutional insubordination. One cannot cherry-pick the law to suit personal ambitions or emotional tantrums. The law must be respected in totality or it has been disrespected entirely.

The question remains: Can a lawless individual be entrusted with the sacred duty of lawmaking? Certainly not. The legislature is no place for notoriety, emotional blackmail, or media-induced sympathy parades. It is a place governed by constitutionalism, the rule of law, decorum, and institutional order.

To further insult the legal and political intelligence of the Nigerian people by making a direct appeal to the Inspector-General of Police, Dr. Kayode Egbetokun (PhD), a thoroughly educated, disciplined, and principled law enforcement chief, is an exercise in futility. The IGP is a custodian of law and order, not a servant of political melodrama or media-fueled antics. Let’s talk before you send your child somewhere this holiday…

Your child just finished WAEC, SS 2 Unified Exams & JSS3 exams and you’re already thinking,

“How can I keep them busy? They must not waste this long break!” August- mid September.

I get it. It’s a long holiday, and you want them to learn something useful. Maybe tailoring, coding, baking, barbing, makeup—or even small business training.

But before you rush off and register them anywhere, pause and think: "Where am I sending my child to?"
Because not every place that teaches skills builds character. Some of these environments look okay on the surface, but deep down, they are damaging. And I’ve seen too many children come back from these "training places" with new habits, strange behaviours, and broken values.

So please, before you hand your child over to anyone for holiday learning, ask the hard questions. Because the wrong environment can do more damage than good. Some of this children who are exposed to wrong environment return to SS1 with serious character deformation

Here are 6 things you must check about the environment before dropping your child off for any training or apprenticeship:

Does this place uphold discipline, honesty, and respect? Or do they cut corners, allow nonsense talk, and ignore character? A child can easily pick up the wrong values in a few weeks.

*2. The Kind of People Around Them*
Who are the other apprentices or learners? Are they decent, or rough and street-smart? Your child may be younger and easily influenced by older, uncontrolled peers.

*3. The Attitude Toward Education*
Are they encouraging your child to return to school, or mocking formal education? If your child is surrounded by people who believe “school is scam,” it may kill their academic motivation before SS1 even starts.
