4. All that being said, Jose Peseiro should still go because as a big team on the continent, Nigeria need to be more expressive. Mourinho who is a protagonist of the 'park the bus' style will always get sacked after 3 years in any team because though the style could bring in a trophy or 2, it wont win you many as those teams who are more attacking. Remember, the best form of defence is attack.

5. The team needs creative or box-to-box midfieldfers. But the mantra of any Eagles coach is that any past U17 creative midfielder must win the best player on earth before being used in the eagles.
Invitations are quickly issued to defensive midfielders who are chronic bench warmers in small english teams. For now, if Onyeka who warms the bench at Brentford will always be selected then Nwakali playing regurlarly in Portugal and Akinkumi Amoo in Cyprus should always be there with the team and used at least in home games against 'small' african opposition.

6. I still wonder when Nigerian fans will all come to a stadium for an eagles game all clad in green.

7. At this point, Siasia should be our next coach when his ban expires in August. He has consistently been finding someone to drive our game fowards in midfield. He use Isaac Promise for that role in Netherlands 2005 and Beijing 2008. In Rio 2016, he used Etebo and we all saw fluidity in those teams. One may argue he has coached the Eagles before but in all honestly he was mostly brought in for a game or 2 when our qualification hopes had become almost impossible. In recent memory, no other coach has had boys christened after him as we have with the popular 'Siasia Boys'. A long term contract for Siasia will change our story positively. At least we would be assured of playing attacking football and winning with ease.
