Talk is not cheap.
Words carry weight.

What you say shapes what you believe…
and what you believe shapes what you accept.
Be intentional with your words.

Pause and think—
what have your words been reinforcing lately?

Not every connection is meant to be pursued.

Some people are assignments.
Some are distractions.

The difference?Discernment.

So this month:Be open enough to meet…But grounded enough to yield.

To God’s timing.God’s direction.God’s best.

We are rooting for you!

I had just finished weeks of fasting and prayer.I felt ready. Clear.
Certain my season had changed.

Then I met him.
On our first conversation, he smiled and said, “I think I would marry you.”

My heart leapt.
The timing felt too aligned to question. I told myself, this must be God.

We started courting. He was intentional. Faith-filled. Serious.
Everyone said I was blessed.

But there were things I started to notice.
He borrowed money from me and didn’t return it.
I said nothing.

Then came the “jokes.”
About my body. About how I could look better.
I laughed it off… but it stayed with me.

Whenever something felt off, I told myself: God wouldn’t bring the wrong person after all that prayer.

Close to the wedding, I finally opened up to someone I trust.
She listened… then said something I’ll never forget.

“Sometimes what you see first is not the harvest. It’s just the blade.”

She walked me through the scripture in Mark 4:26-29. Verse 28 in particular:
The earth produces by itself, first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear.(ESV)

That’s when it dawned on me.
I was in the right season… but with the wrong person.

“The blade” had affirmed a shift in seasons
But the harvest was still on the way

The signs I was seeing were clear warnings….
Warnings I almost neglected

A broken courtship over a broken marriage
It was time to move on…

Now I understand…
Not everything that comes after prayer is the promise.
Some things are just signs that it’s on the way.
