It’s wild how quickly pleasure turns into punishment.
One joyful meal and suddenly we feel guilty for being human.

We were never born hating hunger.
We learned to shame ourselves for needing more.

But overeating isn’t the real issue.
The shame that follows is what keeps us stuck.

Inside the Compassionate Routine Blueprint, we rebuild rhythms that help you listen to your body with care, not fear.

Save this for the days guilt tries to drag you back.
You deserve peace with your body.

I spent so long chasing perfection.

I did not know consistency could feel this gentle.
If this shifted something in you, sit with it today.

Tell me what you wish you knew sooner.

We made it!

Let’s talk the truth shall we…

In countries where systems work (stable electricity, low noise pollution, short commute),
You can afford to romanticise a 6 am workout.
In Nigeria?

6 am might mean:
Generator noise kept you up till 2 am
You battled mosquitoes
You’re prepping your kids by 5:30 am
You’re still recovering from yesterday’s market hustle or Lagos traffic meltdown
You stay up through the night because Nepa only brings the light then, so you have to work

The reality isn’t laziness. It’s an overload.
What you call “lack of discipline” might actually be:
● Sleep debt
● Nervous system fatigue
● Over-scheduling with zero margin for rest

So let’s unlearn the lie that Early means effective.
And replace it with the truth
Anytime you move with intention is the right time.

Want help finding your own rhythm?
Drop “It’s not me, it’s the plan” and I’ll send you the Rhythm Mapping Guide.

Life is too short to be controlled by food rules and body worries.

You deserve freedom, confidence, and joy in your own skin.

At Janesmovement, we believe fitness and wellness are for everyone at every size. It’s not about restriction or perfection, it’s about feeling good, moving your body, and celebrating YOU.

Take a deep breath. Let go of the comparisons. Step into a life where your focus is on living fully, not shrinking.

Your body remembers every time it was forced, ignored, or overworked in the name of “discipline.”
So when you join another fitness program that…
Pushes you past exhaustion
Demands you eat like a robot
Tells you you're failing if you rest

..your body doesn’t feel safe.
It shuts down.
Not because you're weak, but because your body is wise.
Because your system is saying:
❌ “I don't trust this.”
✅ “I want ease. I want kindness. I want a plan that sees me.”

Now, let us use the Body Trust Filter 3-Point Check
Before you restart any new routine, I want you to ask
Does this plan care if I’m tired or just expect me to perform?
Can I adapt it on days I feel low, sad, or busy?
Does it leave me feeling empowered or ashamed of my body or self?

If the answer is “No” to any of these, your body was right to quit the last one.
Let’s try again, this time, with compassion built in.

Let me know in the comments if you’ve ever quit a plan that felt more like punishment than progress.

When I revisited my own tool: The Compassionate Routine Skeleton,
It reminded me that I don’t need to be “on fire” to be consistent.

A gentle spark is enough.

So I chose my Minimal routine for the week.
10 mins of movement.
Prepped simple meals.
One breath of gratitude per day.

It was enough.
And that clarity brought me back to flow.

If you’ve felt stuck, frozen, or guilty…
This is why I created The Compassionate Routine Blueprint

Let’s Rewrite the Comeback”
You don’t need to punish yourself into progress.
You don’t need to hustle your way back into shape.

You need a routine that knows you’re human.
One that prepares for the pause… and welcomes your return.

DM me the word “Blueprint” and I’ll send you the link to my Blueprint.
It will walk you through how to create a rhythm that recovers with you, not against you.

For too long, fitness spaces made women believe they had to look a certain way before they could show up.

But the truth is, movement was never meant to be exclusive.
It’s not about fitting a size, it’s about finding your strength.
Your body is already worthy of care, movement, and joy.

So, start where you are today.

11/11/2025

I love what I do because it’s not just about fitness.
It’s about watching women come home to themselves.

It’s that moment when a client says, “I finally enjoyed my workout.”
Or when she moves without guilt for the first time.

That’s what keeps me here, helping women rebuild trust with their bodies, one compassionate routine at a time.

Because movement should never be punishment.
It should feel like freedom.

Here’s what I say:
You don’t need to push.
You need to explore.
Find what feels good.
Start where your nervous system says, “Okay… I can try this.”

(Example from My Coaching)
If you enjoy jump ropes, don’t jump into 500 just to prove you’re “serious.”
Start with 10.
Let your body trust that it’s safe to come back tomorrow.
Because if your emotional capacity can’t hold what you’re doing, your brain will protect you — by quitting.
That resistance you feel?
It’s not weakness.
It’s your body saying, “Can we please go slower this time?”
That’s not failure.
That’s wisdom.
DM me “CAPABLE” if this post made you breathe easier.
