‘I traveled to Europe 15 years ago and worked multiple jobs. Every time I wanted to marry, my mother said to wait — finish the house, bring my siblings over, help the family first. I listened. I brought my sister and brother abroad. They settled, got married, and now say they have their own responsibilities.
I’m 37, no husband, no child. Now that I’m ready, no man is coming. When I cried to my mother, she said marriage is not an achievement and I can adopt.’
