CURRENT SITUATION IN EDO STATE UROMI AS OF APRIL 2ND
The situation in Uromi, Edo State, remains tense following the gruesome killing of 16 travelers, mostly Hausa hunters from Northern Nigeria, by a mob last week The area has been deserted due to fears of reprisals, with residents seeking refuge in neighboring towns ².

Governor Monday Okpebholo has taken steps to address the situation, including suspending all unregistered vigilante groups in Edo State and the commander of the Edo State Security Corps ³ ⁴.
