The Nigeria American Football Association (NAFA) has been approved by the Board of as an Associate Member of the International Federation of American Football (IFAF), making Nigeria the fourth African country to achieve this status.
This follows a landmark year, with both men’s and women’s national teams .ng winning gold at the IFAF Africa Flag Football Continental Championships and qualifying for the 2026 World Championships.
NAFA’s initiatives promote gender equality and youth empowerment, aiming to reach 150,000 girls by 2030. Major events like the and highlight growing youth engagement, with tackle football set to return in 2025.
