Rather than ganging up against Dr. Reuben Abati, let us accept the fact that the Southeast is the part of Nigeria most closed to outsiders.
Even amongst themselves, there is discrimination. Ebonyi people have repeatedly complained of difficulty renting properties in Anambra. Fact-check me. There have been multiple cases of Ebonyi people showing evidence of how their money was returned to them by Anambra and Enugu landlords when it was discovered that they were from Ebonyi.
When President Tinubu appointed Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ikechukwu Ogalla as the Chief of Naval Staff, he was accused of being a non-Igbo speaking Igbo by people from his region.
Over 25 Igbos have been elected into high office in Lagos and the Southwest, including Oghene Egoh, Rita Orji, Tony Nwoolu, and many others. Even President Tinubu, whom many Obidients love to insult, appointed Igbos into his cabinet as Commissioner when he was Governor. Ben Akabueze was one of them.
There are Igbos elected and appointed into various political positions in Northern Nigeria, including Chidebelu Ewuzie, a Special Adviser to the Gombe State Governor, George D**e, a Special Adviser to the Niger State Governor, Kester Ogualili, a Special Adviser to the Borno State Governor, and Cyprian Nelson Len, an Igbo man who won a House of Assembly seat in Taraba, amongst others.
But how many Lukumi Yorubas, Northerners or Niger Delta people are elected or appointed into high office in all the five states of the Southeast? Please name one.
During last year's election, political opponents of Anthony Chinasa, a Labour Party candidate in Abia, added Abiola to his name in a poster to make people not vote for him. Please fact-check me. The man had to call a press conference to reject the name Abiola!
Even when you look at the results of the , you find that the only region that voted tribally was the Southeast.
Whereas Peter Obi got 19.90% of the SW votes, Tinubu only got 5% of the Southeast votes, totalling 127,370. Waziri Atiku got only 4% of the votes in the Southeast, totalling 90,968. Meanwhile, in his own region, the Northeast, Peter Obi got 315,107 votes, which was 9.17% of the votes.
However, the Southeast is also the most vociferous in accusing the other regions of being tribalistic in their voting patterns even when the facts indict them.
So, let us not act as if Reuben Abati lied. He spoke an inconvenient truth, and as usual, those he exposed wanted to bully him into submission on social media. It failed in 2023, it will fail in 2024, and it will keep failing in the years to come.

On this blessed day of Jumu'ah, if a Muslim greets you As-salamu alaykum, accept the greeting. It is not an Islamic greeting. It is a universal blessing. It means 'Peace be upon you'. It is a Godly greeting that predates Islam. It was also used by Yeshua Hamashiach (Jesus Christ, Nabi Isa) in John 20:21. In that verse, Yeshua said, "Shalom Aleichem". What is the difference between Shalom Aleichem (Hebrew) and Salam Alaykum?
The word salam in Arabic has the exact meaning as the word shalom in Hebrew and Selam in Amharic (the national language of Ethiopia). So, on this Jumu'ah, promote peaceful religious coexistence and greet a Muslim with as-salamu alaykum. And if they greet you with it, accept it with love and affection. There is only one religion in heaven or Jannah: love. And there is only one way of life there, which is peace.
I say to all my Muslim followers, subscribers and fellow citizens as-salamu alaykum. Jumu'ah Mubarak!

It is pathetic that Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour criticised the ₦85,000 minimum wage paid by the Lagos State Government under the excellent leadership of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu. One would have thought that if GRV had any criticism, it would have been for his own fellow Labour Party member, Governor Alex Otti of Abia, who is even struggling to pay the old minimum wage of ₦30,000, talk more of the new minimum wage of at least ₦70,000.
If Mr. Rhodes-Vivour really loves Nigerians, he and Peter Obi should ask Alex Otti to stop commissioning bus stops as his signature project in 2024, and instead of buying exotic luxurious cars for himself and his aides and cronies, to clear the backlog of salaries of the long-suffering workers of Abia State.
That is what GRV ought to be doing rather than criticising the performing Governor of Lagos, who does not owe salaries and has commissioned world-class infrastructure, such as the Red Line metro, housing estates, bridges, flyovers, and heavy industries in 2024.

Instead of saying Tinubu is in France and Shettima is in Switzerland while Nigerians are suffering, Peter Obi should go the whole hog and confess to Nigerians that when Tinubu was in London fighting for democracy between 1993 and 1998, and Shettima was at a bank in Borno, working for the economy, he Peter Obi, was working for Abacha as Abacha was assassinating Kudirat Abiola, Alfred Rewane, Mrs. Bisoye Tejuosho, and Rear Admiral Tunde Elegbede, amongst many others.
It is better to be in France on holiday and Switzerland on government business than to be in bed with a bloodthirsty kleptomaniac dictator as one of his lackeys!
After all, Tinubu and Shettima were not arrested and detained at London Heathrow Airport like common criminals!

Thank God it is Jumu'ah. Jumu'ah Mubārak to all. And if a Muslim greets you As-salamu alaykum, accept their prayer. It is a Godly blessing that transcends individual religion. It means 'Peace be upon you'. It is a wholesome greeting that predates Islam.
How do you say peace be upon you in Hebrew, the way Yeshua (Jesus) said it in John 20:21?
Shalom Aleichem.
How do you say peace be upon you in Arabic?
Salam alaykum.
What is the difference?
Promote peaceful religious coexistence wherever you are. There is only One God. All other differences will be resolved by Him when we meet Him. Man will not fix them through wars, laws and schemes.
May God bless you, even as I wish you the best today and always.

The Library of Alexandria in Egypt was burned by Julius Caesar in 48 BC. If it hadn't been burnt, we in Africa would have had access to more technology than we do today. I visited the Fasil Ghebbi Library in Ethiopia. It was the second-largest library in Africa until it was bombed by the British in 1941. We lost lots of esoteric scientific knowledge by that bombing.
And even today, we still do not like to write as a people. If you are bookish in Black Africa, it is your own people who will attempt to pull you down and make you ashamed of your knowledge. I too know. Oversabi. Sabinus. Ominiknowest. That is why many Black Africans hide their knowledge. And when we find them out, we call them witches and kill them.
Let me reiterate that what we in some parts of Africa call jazz or juju is just physics and chemistry that man's conscious knowledge has not caught up with. The people who possess these knowledge are afraid to exhibit it in the open, because of our notoriety for attacking what we do not understand. Hence they exhibit it in secret or at night.
Technology is nothing more than magic, wizardry, sorcery, enchantment and juju simplified and codified. The Black African should stop killing so-called witches and wizards. By killing them, we are killing out technological development. Instead, interrogate them and get them to reveal the ancient secrets and give them to our scientists to simplify and then codify.
If you think a person flies at night and you have proof, that is not jazz. That is advanced quantum physics that defies the known laws of aerodynamics. Don't kill such persons. Give them pen and paper and force them to write how they violated the law of gravity. That, right there, is a science textbook!
Africa has to develop its own indigenous technology. In all aspects. For example, we can no longer depend solely on Western pharmacopoeia. We have to consider alternatives, like homoeopathy. King Charles III was recently diagnosed with cancer and has turned to homoeopathy. This is the King of England! Homeopathy is not jazz or juju. It is an alternative and sometimes better medicine.
For example, Ose dudu (dudu Osun) can cure almost any skin condition. Chewing sticks clean as well and sometimes better than toothbrushes. Unripe plantains boost male libido. Wild African ginger relieves respiratory problems. Bitter leaf (Vernonia amygdalina) has been scientifically proven to roll back diabetes. And there are other African herbal remedies. Not only do they work, they also have fewer or no side effects. Just being around herbs and plants alone is advantageous to your health.

When Nigeria needed MTN the most after the Red Sea submarine fiasco, MTN disappeared. But Glo did not disappear. They were there for you.
When Nigeria needed DSTV most during Nwabali's AFCON saves against their country, South Africa, DSTV disappointed you. But NTA did not disappoint you.
