- Mike Tyson Vs Roy Jones Jr will see the return of two boxing legends to the rings
- The organisers have stated that the event is strictly an exhibition bout
- The fight will take place over eight rounds timed at two minutes each
Former boxing heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is set to come out of retirement for an exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr on Saturday, November 28.
There are slight changes in the regular boxing rules for the fight between 53-year-old Tyson and Jones Jr. who is already 51 - as both legends continue to trade words.
It was gathered that the fight has been strictly confirmed as an exhibition bout and won’t go on either of the boxers’ professional record.
There were earlier concerns as regards if they are allowed to knockout one another or if they should compete without headguards.
However, according to Andy Foster who is an executive director of the California State Athletic Commission the rules have been clarified.
"Let's call it an exhibition. That's what it is," Foster explained. "I want the public to know what this is because I don't want people to be disappointed. As long as they know this is an exhibition, I'm fine for everybody to earn."
"There's no official judges," Foster added. "The WBC is going to have some guest celebrity judges remotely, not official, not 10-9 [scores], nothing like that. No cumulative score."
Rules for the fight according to SPORTbible
• The bout will take place over eight rounds timed at two minutes each.
• Neither boxer will is required to wear headgear.
• Tyson and Jones will be wearing 12-ounce gloves.
• If either boxer suffers a bad cut, the exhibition is over.
• Both fighters had to undergo complete medical testing in order to be cleared for the bout and both athletes entered VADA (Voluntary Anti-Doping Agency) testing prior to the contest.
• No winner announced.
The 54-year-old who is planning to come out of retirement and faceoff with Roy Jones Jr in an eight-round exhibition told Steve Farhood on ShoBox during an interview session.

Mike Tyson wants exhibitiin fight against Fury, Anthony Joshua to raise money for charity
The American explained that he wants to raise money for charitable organisations with the duels
- Tyson was one of the best boxers years back as he competed from 1985 to 2005
World boxing legend Mike Tyson has made it clear that he is ready to face the likes of Tyson Fury, Anthony Joshua and fellow countryman Deontay Wilder in exhibition fights to raise money.
During his active boxing days, Mike Tyson was one of the best boxers in the world considering the number of wins he got against tough opponents before he retired.
Tyson won his first 19 professional fights by knockout, in which 12 of them in the first round and also won the WBC title in 1986 after stopping Trevor Berbick in the second round.
After being knocked out by Kevin McBride, Mike Tyson decided to retire from professional boxing with superb career achievements.
The man known as Iron Mike had 58 fights in his career, won 50, lost six and no contests in the other two.
Tyson will be facing Roy Jones Jr in an exhibition fight which is expected to hold on November 28 in what will be an eight-round contest in Los Angeles.
While speaking on his decision to return to the ring, Tyson explained that he wants to raise money for charitable organisations and believes that facing Fury, Wilder and Joshua will bring more money according to report on boxing scene.
"I think they're brilliant. They're brilliant fighters. They could do so much for society. They could have exhibitions, and take the money from the exhibitions, because they're such big crowd pleasers, and they could help so many people.
"There's so many people out there that we can do so much for, and it wouldn't even be a tenth of their charitable heart to do something like that. In fact, fight exhibitions with me, and most of our charity would go to people who desperately need it."
Anthony Joshua is no doubt one of the best boxers in the world considering the success he has recorded so far and also the money he has made in his career.
Joshua's last professional fight was against Andy Ruiz, and the 31-year-old was brilliant as he defeated his opponent to get back his belts.
Tyson Fury's last fight was against American boxer Deontay Wilder and the Brit did well in the tough fight to win the duel.
One of Deontay Wilder's coaching crew had to throw in the towel which made the officials of the encounter to declare Tyson Fury as the winner.
