You cannot win when it is your time to lose.
Sometimes, we fight so hard to hold on to something that God is asking us to release.
We want the relationship to work.
We want the opportunity.
We want the position.
We want the plan to happen exactly the way we imagined it.
But sometimes, what feels like loss is actually God redirecting us.
Think about Abraham and Lot in Genesis 13.
When there was conflict between their herdsmen, Abraham gave Lot the opportunity to choose the land he wanted first. Lot chose what appeared to be the better portion, while Abraham seemed to be the one who “lost.”
But God had already prepared something for Abraham.
God said to him:

Abraham didn't have to fight Lot for what God had already promised him.

But what looked like loss was actually part of the journey to the place God had prepared for him.
📖 “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good.” — Genesis 50:20
And remember David
He was anointed king, yet he still spent years running from Saul. David could have forced the throne before his appointed time, but he chose not to take matters into his own hands.

You may lose opportunities.
You may lose money.
You may lose relationships.
You may lose things you genuinely wanted.
And yes, some losses will hurt.
But not every loss is a defeat.
Sometimes God is teaching you to let go without losing your faith.
Sometimes He is closing a door because the next chapter requires you to walk through another one.
So, when something doesn't work out, don't immediately assume that you have lost.
Pause.
Pray.
Ask God what He may be teaching you, protecting you from, or preparing you for.
📖 “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord.” — Psalm 37:23
You may not understand the loss today.
But trust that God s
