๐จ๐ฅ UEFAโS NEGREIRA INVESTIGATION TAKES ANOTHER TURN! ๐ณ๐ช๐ธ
UEFA is continuing its investigation into Barcelona over the Negreira case, with fresh documents submitted by Real Madrid now being assessed by UEFAโs Ethics and Disciplinary Inspectors.
๐ฐ Reports highlight payments made to companies linked to former refereeing vice-president Josรฉ Marรญa Enrรญquez Negreira. During Joan Laportaโs first presidency, the payments reportedly rose from โฌ152,186 in 2005/06 to โฌ573,398 in 2009/10, after payments had initially begun under Joan Gaspart in 2001.
โ ๏ธ UEFA is examining whether the case could constitute a violation of its disciplinary rules, while the wider Negreira case also remains before the Spanish courts.
โ Barcelona could face European sanctions if UEFA ultimately finds a serious breach, but no final decision or punishment has been announced.
