Javier Hernandez is hopeful of resurrecting his career at Manchester United – but is prepared to head elsewhere for first-team football.
The Mexican striker spent last season on loan at Real Madrid after being deemed surplus to requirements by new manager Louis van Gaal, who instead brought in Colombian hitman Radamel Falcao on loan.
Hernandez scored nine goals in 33 appearances at the Bernabeu but the Spanish giants declined the opportunity to make the move permanent and he will report back to United after the Concacaf Gold Cup
Manchester United have beaten Bayern Munich and Real Madrid to reclaim their position as the biggest brand in world football, becoming the first club to pass the $1billion mark
Daley Blind has provided a ringing endorsement of Memphis Depay, his fellow Netherlands international who will soon become a Manchester United team-mate at Old
Brendan Rodgers has told Mario Balotelli he can still become a first-team regular at Liverpool.
The £16m striker is yet to score in the Premier League for Liverpool and did not even make the bench for Saturday's FA Cup tie against Bolton, prompting speculation his chances of making it at Anfield have already passed.
But Rodgers says he would never write off any player for good and has challenged Balotelli to force his way back in.
"We'll give Mario every chance," he said. "We brought him here this season to give him every chance to show he can play consistently at the top in a team at this level.
"It has been a difficult perod for him, but he's a good boy who wants to fight for his opportunity here. I've seen some clippings this morning saying that's him over with, and it's not the case at all.
"I think I've shown here a number of times - players that have been out of the fold for various reasons, if they work hard every day in training and show the intensity and focus then they've every chance of getting back in the team - and not only of getting back in the team, but staying there. So the opportunity's there for Mario and for every player."
Arsene Wenger admitted holders Arsenal are "one of the favourites" to win the FA Cup ahead of Monday evening's fifth-round draw.
Chelsea, Manchester City, Southampton and Tottenham are among the 10 Premier League teams to have already been dumped out of the competition.
Manchester United will require a replay to get past Cambridge while Liverpool will also have to beat Championship club Bolton at Wanderers' home to ensure a fifth-round tie.
"With Saturday's results you would be a bit cautious (about being favourites), the cup is the cup and what you want is the focus on the next round and to go through," Wenger said after the holders saw off Brighton 3-2 in the fourth round.
"We have good experience from last season to know that every round is different and the most difficult games were not especially the most expected ones last season.
"So let's wait for the (fifth round) draw. Of course we fight and we want to retain our cup, but it's too long to go to say that.
"But we'll be one of the favourites, because I think Man United might go through and some of the other Premier League sides will go through.
"We'll be among these teams but you cannot predict who will win it."
Wenger will hope the Gunners can avoid United and Liverpool away from home, but beyond that Arsenal must now fancy their chances.
Didier Drogba has made it known that he wants to remain at Chelsea beyond the end of the season.
The Ivory Coast forward received the 2015 Football Writers' Association Tribute Award at a gala dinner in London on Sunday night.
Drogba, who returned to Stamford Bridge last summer following spells with Shanghai and Galatasaray hopes that this summer does not mark the end of his 11-year association with the club.
"When you have achieved so much and won so many trophies like we have done in the past 10 years, that creates something special," he said.
"I hope, and the club makes me believe, I am part of this big family, so we are going to find the best thing for both of us to promote the club in the best way.
"When I left this club (the first time), I was saying that I had done everything I wanted to do, but I think now that I did not do everything, I think there is more to do. I love this club and would love to be part of this club for the future, with the new players.
"I am really proud for this award, in the list of previous winners there are a lot of players whom I really respect and grew up trying to reach there level, so for me this is a great honour. When I came to England, things were difficult, there was the language barrier and culture change.
"With time, we managed to learn more from each other and today I am really happy that the football writers not only understand me a lot on the pitch, but have also helped me with my foundation work."
