It’s September 2nd, which means we have four months left in 2026.

And I have a question for you:

If you look at the plans you had for this year, would you say you have achieved at least half of them?

I’m not talking about winning at everything, ticking every box, or completing every goal on your list. I’m asking whether you have taken enough ownership and been intentional enough about the things within your control; becoming whole, pursuing your goals, growing, and becoming the person you desire to be.

Sometimes, when we think about what is holding us back, we immediately look outside ourselves.

“If I could make more money…”
“If I could get more followers…”
“If I could get that new thing…”
“If everything could just be perfect…”

But what if that isn’t what’s holding you back?

What if it’s your thought patterns, limiting beliefs, fear of leaving your comfort zone, or the tendency to become discouraged when you don’t see results quickly enough?

What if you’re so focused on the big picture that you overlook the small steps required to close the gap? Or you’re trying to do everything yourself when you actually need a mentor, coach, or team to support you?

And perhaps, sometimes, what you need isn’t to do more at all.

Maybe you need to pause, to become still, to rest or to remove some of the distractions around you so you can gain clarity, become consistent, and learn to enjoy the process instead of constantly measuring your life by the outcome.

You see, sometimes we need to ask ourselves:

Am I really being held back by something out there, or am I struggling to align myself with what is required to move forward?

Welcome to September. 🤍

My prayer is that these questions help you think differently about the next four months and become more intentional about how you spend them.

So, what is the number one thing you believe is holding you back from pursuing your goals or becoming the version of yourself you know you’re capable of becoming?

Tell me in the comments.

Let’s talk about it together.

Sometimes, you move on without truly healing. You get into a new relationship, smile again, keep going, and tell yourself, “I’m fine.” But the pain from yesterday can quietly follow you into today.

It can show up in the way you struggle to trust.
The way you expect people to hurt you.
The way you guard your heart.
The way you react to things that remind you of what you’ve been through.

But here’s the beautiful thing: your past does not have to determine the kind of relationships you have tomorrow.

Healing means being honest about the wounds, understanding how they have shaped you, letting go of bitterness without denying your pain, and learning how to build healthier relationships from a healthier place.

Tomorrow, we’re having a FREE LIVE WEBINAR: Healing from Past Relationship Hurt.

You’ll learn how to move from past pain to present peace and self-discovery, recognise hidden wounds, let go of bitterness, and rebuild trust and healthier relationships.

Date: Tomorrow, 28th August 2026
Time: 6:00 PM WAT
💻 Live on Zoom

Come with an open heart. You don’t have to carry yesterday’s pain into tomorrow’s relationships.

Many affairs don’t begin with an affair. They begin with small doors that were left open.

A private conversation.
Unnecessary emotional closeness.
Constant admiration and validation.
Becoming someone else’s emotional safe place.
Or repeatedly creating opportunities for familiarity to grow.

What may look harmless in isolation can become dangerous when the boundaries are consistently blurred.

Protecting your marriage is not only about avoiding physical infidelity. It is also about being intentional about the access, attention, emotional intimacy, and relationships you allow outside your marriage.

And sometimes, your spouse may notice a boundary becoming blurred before you do.

Don’t wait until trust is broken before you start taking boundaries seriously.

These are the conversations we have in Infidelity Recovery Sessions, helping couples rebuild trust, establish healthy boundaries, and navigate the work of healing after betrayal.

If you’re ready to understand your own patterns and begin doing deeper healing work, register for the Trauma to Thriving Class.

Some seasons are slow. Some seasons are fast. Some seasons feel quiet. Some feel certain. Some feel confusing and some feel like it is going to get darker before it gets better.

Whichever season you are in, remember these five things that can help you walk through it:

📌 Keep God as your strong hand.
Even when things feel unclear, trust in the Lord with all your heart. Allow Him to lead you. Ask Him questions. Seek His direction per time.

📌 Stay strong in your identity.
Don’t allow a season to make you feel less of yourself. What you are experiencing right now is not the full story of who you are or who you are becoming.

📌 Practice gratitude.
Gratitude will always help you navigate life. Keep noticing what is working. Be grateful for what you have, while trusting God for what is still coming.

📌 Journal.
Sometimes you need to slow down enough to process what you are experiencing. Journaling can help you make sense of your thoughts, recognize patterns and see how far you have come.

📌 Stay connected.
The right people can help you keep moving when you don’t have the strength to move alone. Connection strengthens you.

Whatever season you’re in right now, remember: A season is not your destination.

Keep walking. Keep trusting. Keep becoming.

There’s a difference between communicating your needs and manipulating someone’s behaviour so you can feel secure.

Healthy communication says, “This is what I need, and this is how I feel.”

Manipulation says, “I need you to behave a certain way so I can feel okay.”

Sometimes what looks like love, reassurance, or a desire for closeness may actually be an attempt to control our partner’s responses because we are afraid of how we might feel if they don’t respond the way we want.

But your emotional security cannot depend entirely on controlling another person.

Healing teaches you to communicate your needs honestly, understand where those needs come from, and develop healthier ways of responding when they are not immediately met.

You can ask for reassurance without demanding it.
You can express your hurt without using guilt.
You can set boundaries without trying to control someone.

And sometimes, the work is deeper than the relationship itself.

If you’re ready to understand the wounds and patterns influencing how you relate to others, join the Trauma to Thriving Class.

7 Signs You May Be Functioning But Not Thriving

Sometimes you can look okay on the outside and still need deeper healing.

You may be working, building, parenting, serving, achieving and showing up for everyone around you, while something inside you is saying, “I’m tired.”

Sometimes the unhealed version of you can keep you living from a place of proving, performing and constantly trying to hold everything together.

Here are seven signs to pay attention to. Read through the slides.

Which of them can you relate with? Share with me in the comments

You can be functioning and still not be okay. You can keep showing up, meeting deadlines, caring for everyone, achieving your goals and looking like you have everything together, while quietly running on empty.

Because productivity is not always evidence of wellness. Sometimes, you have simply become very good at surviving.

You keep going because stopping would force you to acknowledge what you have been carrying.

But thriving is different. Thriving means there is room for rest, joy, connection, emotional safety and wholeness, not just achievement.

You deserve more than a life where you are constantly functioning but rarely feeling fully present in it.

If you’re ready to understand what may be keeping you stuck in survival mode and begin your journey from Trauma to Thriving, join the class.
