Years ago, I used to train in a stadium in Lagos and I always wondered why powerlifters often snoozed before grueling sets of weightlifting.
The other day, I was at the gym and after about 50,000 total volume of squats, I felt like I was going to be unalived! 😨😂
I felt like I was going to faint.
So, I picked a gym mat and snoozed for about 15minutes.
BOOM! I did another one hour of intense workout from the energy derived from that snooze.
So, hear me:
When we sleep, our energy levels in form of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) surge while our waking up process restores most of the energy our brains expended while sleeping.
Short sleeps during the day (especially early afternoons) are very good sources of energy surge and alertness. They're called power naps for a reason.
