TEA, with milk, sugar or neither.
The decision to add milk or sugar to tea is a personal choice, though there seems to be an ongoing debate about what is proper or what makes a better tasting cup of tea.

Many tea connoisseurs will argue that tea should never contain milk or sugar. Some may even tell you that if you have to make these additions, the tea is low-quality and not worth drinking. Oops!

Beyond this school of thought, there are many teas that can be enjoyed with milk and sugar while others are often best with no additions. Here are some recommendations.

In general, bold, astringent black teas or red teas as they are called in China and Taiwan will be your best bets for adding milk and sugar

Some green teas, such as Gunpowder green tea can be enjoyed with a little sugar. White teas, oolong teas, pu- erh teas and most green teas are rarely enhanced with sugar.

In abiding by the "rules" of drinking tea, it is pointless if you don't end up enjoying your hot cup of tea.

So if you are wondering whether or not a cup of tea could be enhanced, may I suggest that you take a few sips of a new tea as it is before adding milk or sugar. If you find that you enjoyed it best, plain, simply skip the additions the next time you brew that tea.
Have a lovely day and enjoy your cup of tea as you like it. 😉

Aren't they all the same?
TEA, INFUSION, HERBAL TEA
All teas from traditional black tea to fruity mixes are technically infusions because of the act involved but here's the difference.

Tea is the dried leaves or bud of the tea plant Camellia Sinensis or Camellia Assamica from which we get our traditional black tea, green tea and oolong tea

Infusion is a product consisting of a liquid which has had other ingredients steeped in it to extract useful qualities. Example is an extract of rooibos and chamomile

Herbal tea is a drink prepared using the leaves, roots or stems of medicinal plants. Examples include ginger tea, hibiscus tea and peppermint tea.

Whether they are teas, infusions or herbal teas, they help with detoxification, digestion, relaxation and have diuretic effects, all beneficial to our body.

To preserve the sanctity of tea however, I must mention that a nice cup of hot chocolate or cocoa should never be referred to as tea. Be warned! Some of you know what I'm talking about. 😉
