๐ŸšจLiverpool have re-appointed Julian Ward* as their new Sporting Director this morning. 657a

- He replaces Richard Hughes, who left earlier this month to join Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia after 2 years at Anfield.
- This is Ward's *second time* in the job - he was Sporting Director in 2022/23 before stepping down, and has been FSG's Technical Director since May 2024.
- He's been at Liverpool since 2012 and was involved in signings like Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez, Cody Gakpo and Alexis Mac Allister.

FSG president Mike Gordon said he is the "ideal candidate given his extensive experience of the football industry in general and Liverpool Football Club in particular."

๐ŸšจBREAKING: The independent panel ruling on Manchester City's 115 charges has found the club guilty on most counts.

Premier League clubs have been briefed on the case, but Manchester City are expected to appeal.

The Premier League is confident of a satisfactory conclusion, but there is no guarantee the case will be fully resolved soon.

Sanctions could range from suspended punishments or fines to points deductions and even expulsion from the league. And punishments can be applied while an appeal is ongoing.

A City spokesman said: "The Premier League process remains ongoing, with significant elements to be completed, and subject to strict confidentiality. As such Manchester City FC's position remains consistent with the club's statement of February 2023.

"The club has diligently respected due process for eight years on the basis that the Premier League board and executive would behave as an independent, impartial and fair-minded regulator, free from partisan influence."
