A Renewed Hope of a Nigerian Nation indeed.

I write with a heavy heart, filled with grief and concern for our beloved nation, Nigeria.

At the age of 65, we find ourselves still grappling with the ever-increasing costs and relentless hikes in various aspects of our lives. It seems that we are constantly faced with the need for readjustments, panel-beating, redesigning, and soul-searching due to the poor and erroneous leadership that has plagued our great nation for far too long.

Throughout our history, we have witnessed a mixed-grilled of leaders and masters. While some leaders have diligently built the foundations of progress and development, others have been destructive forces that have hindered our growth. Regrettably, this is why we find ourselves in the precarious state we are in today. The ultimate victims of this elitist and never-ending political tussle are people like You and I, the poor and hopeless vulnerable masses.

Now more than ever, we are in dire need of leaders who possess humility, selflessness, progressiveness, and a clear vision for our nation's future. We need individuals who are genuinely committed to lifting Nigeria out of its current state of despair. We must strive for leaders who rise above being mere masters, lords, and looters, and instead embody the true essence of servant leadership.

While the role of the President is undeniably significant within our political landscape, it is essential to understand that a single individual alone cannot bear the burden of transforming our nation. It is a collective responsibility that requires the active involvement and commitment of all stakeholders, from the highest office to the grassroots level. We must nurture a culture of transparency, accountability, and inclusivity, ensuring that the voices of the common man are being heard and heeded to.

As we celebrate the anniversary of our Independence, let us not lose sight of the challenges lying before us. Instead of blindly rejoicing in the independence we have never truly experienced, let us continue to demand answers. Let us hold our leaders accountable for their actions and decisions. Let us channel our grievances into constructive dialogue and strive for meaningful and lasting change.

Despite the prevailing darkness, I am filled with hope. I believe that together, we can steer Nigeria towards a brighter future, a future where our citizens are no longer held in bo***ge but can enjoy the fruits of a truly independent nation.

Happy Independence Anniversary, Nigeria.

With sincere regards,

Aliu Haidar Zaifada

Fellow Constituents.

My names are Comrade Aliu Haidar Zaifada, I hailed from Galdimare ward in Biu Local Government Area, an Aspirant contesting for member of the state house of Assembly, Biu constituency, under the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the forthcoming elections Starting May 18th.

I am in my mid 30's, By virtue of the provisions of the Nigeria Constitution I have been given the mandate to contest for the state Assembly.

My Aspiration was Bourne and inspired by my interactions, consultations and meeting with different human groups, stakeholders, as well as my preparedness for the real mission. My membership ambition is just a prosperous one. I am confident of winning in a free and fair election, and I promise to take our constituency to a greater height if given the mandate.

At this critical stage in the history of our dear state, I want to make history as a young person by joining the race to become the next member to represent our people in the state Assembly inshaAllah. We need capacity, eloquency and doggedness to manned up and change the narratives in order to attract more democracy dividend. Though the battle for the state Assembly seat in the constituency remains a tough one.

My modus operandi is subtle talks round the various Women groups in the constituency, Youth's groups, Elders Forums and Students, to garner support. I am a young person who freely interact with people, and knowing how youths participate actively in the voting process, I also made them at the top of my priority. We are looking at the youths base forums, with a strong youth and women oriented programmes and agenda's. I also intend to make use of the social media and mass media, I have also set up interactive handles on different platforms. As structures are being put in place to create awareness and awakening, 2023 it's Youths for Youth's O'clock.

Let's join hands and change the dialogue. Our togetherness in the struggle to salvage our people, is one that we'll all live to be proud of.

I sincerely thank you all, as we move forward to engage our people on this noble course.

Hon Aliu Haidar Zaifada
BOSHA 2023.

LET'S BREAK THE SILENCE

AN OPEN LETTER TO PROFESSOR IBRAHIM A. NJODI VC UNIVERSITY OF MAIDUGURI AND THE SILENCE OF BORNO STATE ELDERS.
YOU CAN SUSPEND ME BUT YOU CAN'T SUSPEND THE TRUTH.

Written by:
AHMAD ABDULRAHMAN UMAR. BURSARY DEPARTMENT, CHEMISTRY CHEMICALS STORE, STAFF NO. JP5488

I am compelled to write this open letter to you, although in addition to the inner and unconscious thing that force me from within and the ethical and moral duty, I do write this for two reasons; The first reason is to serve as an advice to you and the second is to awaken your consciousness so as to transparently and honestly manage the affairs of the University, with the fear of God and in good faith. For as things are since the inception of your leadership, arrogance and impunity thrived more than any other thing, This is obvious in your self-centered style of leadership which is dictatorial.

2. Sir, I wish to bring to your notice that, majority of the staff of the university are living in fear and seriously grumbling, but they chose to keep their mute, out of fear of victimization that could lead to redeployment, suspension from work and eventual dismissal from the university.

3. The above is true considering my recent suspension from duty through a letter dated Tuesday 11th,July,2017. Signed by the Registrar of the University of Maiduguri Alh. Tijjani Bukar, Further establishes and corroborates the spate and speed of which the trio of impunity, dictatorship and arrogance characterize your leadership style. As it is no longer news that my feud with the University leadership is as a result of my blunt and famous publication on Facebook title "UNIMAID IN DISARRAY". As a university, this institution ought not only to have thick skin for positive criticism when aired by others but to appreciate and make amends instead and yearn for more of same. Unfortunately the management of this University chose to intimidate my person threatening me in number of occasions, unknown to them that the more they insist on silencing me, the more I feel courage to silence their urge of impunity.

4. However, I want to remind you that, this will not change anything and I have not regretted my actions as long as the bit of facts I published remain unchallenged and the allegations levelled against you are neither proved wrong by you nor debunked by those who were used to intimidate, persecute and threaten me on your behalf. This point to the fact that the truth will forever triumph over falsehood.

5. Meanwhile, I want to challenge the legality of my suspension based on the fact that, what I posted was on social media network, and I can't remember any law that prohibits the freedom of expression in any form including, social media network or electronic print media. Equally the University where I work, had never issued any internal or external circular prohibiting staff from making posts on social media network, even as I know it is impossible in any democratic society.
Please, permit me to also remind you that as at when the former governor
of the Central Bank, Mallam Sanusi Lamido blew the whistle against the
Jonathan led Federal government, whistle blowing was alien, he was
immediately suspended. But as he rightly said: “You can suspend me but
you can’t suspend the truth” barely a year or so after the man’s
suspension, the truth came hunting Jonathan, and to the surprise of
all, Jonathan became the first incumbent president to lose election.
It is therefore right to say that as things are, whistle blowing is
alien in the University of Maiduguri, hence my suspension is
understandable, I therefore say: “You can suspend but you can't suspend the truth".

6. Additionally, I want to inform you that the silence of the intellectuals in the University community and elders of Borno State is not something you should relax and rejoice as an emperor that you think you are, because it doesn't mean you should continue with the impunity, everything will eventually end, but you should await the consequences.

7. Lastly pardon me for making this letter open, it is because I have no other means of expressing it.
