Happy 4th of July from the House of Parliment Bank building!

As America celebrates 250 years of independence, we’re reflecting on the past, present, and future of our own little corner at 113 West Potomac St. The former Peoples Bank is still under renovation, but every day brings us closer to opening our doors as a new kind of community hub (HUG) for outdoor lovers, local artisans, and even a few lucky rescue cats.

Named in honor of Dr. Thomas H. Parliment, this historic building is being carefully restored with a vision for the next generation. We want it to be a gathering place where people come together to share adventures, art, and community spirit — the very values that have shaped our country for two and a half centuries.

This week, as you watch the fireworks and think about all that’s happened over these 250 years, know that something new and meaningful is on its way right here in Maryland. We’re proud to be part of a tradition of growth and renewal, and we can’t wait to welcome you when the time is right.
