BLACK CASTLE NEWS (ABUJA) – A new feature from Black Castle News reveals the creative roots of founder Mbagwu Stephen Chibueze, showing how his early days as a visual muralist built his current luxury design empire.

Before launching the Black Castle of Africa custom furniture and media brand, Mbagwu used bold wall paintings to process raw human emotion and African identity.

His early artwork, like his striking mural of a woman draped in red, focused heavily on themes of survival, vulnerability, and personal power.

Mbagwu credits this early painting era with teaching him his core philosophy: that intense life heartbreaks generate the exact energy needed to outgrow your limits.

Today, the artistic discipline and sharp spatial skills he learned on those early canvases directly drive the premium standards of his luxury woodwork and interior designs.

BLACK CASTLE NEWS: Rare Throwback Reveals How Nigerian Creative Entrepreneur Mbagwu Stephen Began Building the Vision Behind Black Castle of Africa.

Every legacy has an unseen beginning.

Before the vision became a company, before the name Black Castle of Africa began to mean something, there was a young creator driven by purpose.

This is Mbagwu Stephen Chibueze in the early days of his creative journey—building a handcrafted cross chair with his own hands while also applying some of his artistic vision to keep the dream alive.

Every project was more than a source of income; it was another brick in the foundation of a bigger vision.

Many people only see the finished work.
Few witness the sacrifices, the long hours, the failures, and the determination that shape a legacy.

Today, the tools are better, the vision is clearer, but the mission remains unchanged: to build a world-class African creative company that inspires generations.

Every masterpiece begins with a single piece of wood.
Every empire begins with one person who refuses to quit.

BLACK CASTLE NEWS | 🇳🇬 HISTORY MADE: Burna Boy Becomes First Nigerian to Perform at FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show

History was made at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, USA, as Grammy Award-winning Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy became the first Nigerian artist to perform during the FIFA World Cup Final halftime show—the tournament’s first-ever official halftime entertainment spectacle.

Sharing the global stage with Colombian music icon Shakira, Burna Boy delivered a performance of the official FIFA World Cup anthem, “Dai Dai,” before tens of thousands of fans inside the stadium and millions watching around the world.

The historic halftime show also featured Uganda’s Ghetto Kids, whose electrifying choreography showcased African talent on one of the world’s biggest sporting stages. Global stars including Madonna, Justin Bieber, and BTS also performed in the star-studded production, which was curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin in partnership with FIFA and Global Citizen.

While Nigerian artists such as Femi Kuti and Rema have previously performed at FIFA-related events, Burna Boy’s appearance during the World Cup Final’s inaugural halftime show marks another defining milestone for Afrobeats and African culture on the global stage.

From Lagos to the world, African music continues to shape global entertainment, proving that Afrobeats is no longer just a regional sound—it’s a worldwide cultural force.

Black Castle News | Mbagwu Stephen.
We travel across the world to study other people’s history, but we call our own African roots a taboo. Why?

Look closely at this picture.
The man you see right there in the yellow bucket hat is Mbagwu Stephen (ILOVECHIBOI), reporting on the ground for Black Castle News.

He took this photo a few years back, standing directly outside the sacred shrine gates with the traditional attendants and lineage caretakers of a Yoruba Egúngún festival.

Let me make this very clear to our global audience: This was not for entertainment, and this was not for comedy.

This was a serious investigative mission to document the raw, unfiltered truth of our heritage.
Our traditions are not a joke.

They are a deep, living connection to our lineages, our ancestors, and our true historical identity.

The problem today is that most of what you see on social media is either a comedy skit or a scare tactic.
Nobody is showing the real, intellectual, historical, and spiritual depth of African civilization.

That narrative stops here on Black Castle News.

On July 26th and 27th, 2026, a massive traditional festival cycle is taking place. We are going back on the ground.

Mbagwu Stephen will be documenting the true-life story of the caretakers, the ancient prayers, the cultural science, and the grand outing of the masquerade as it happens live.

If you want to stop guessing and actually learn the real history, science, and reality of African civilization, you need to LIKE and FOLLOW the Black Castle News page right now.

Do not wait to hear our stories from outsiders. Watch it happen through the eyes of a reporter who is actually standing on the ground.👇

Black Castle News | Aboyeji’s Billion-Dollar Blueprint Inspires Africa’s Next Generation of Builders

LAGOS, NIGERIA — Nigerian entrepreneur Iyinoluwa Aboyeji has once again inspired founders across Africa after sharing the principles behind building two billion-dollar companies from Lagos.

Speaking during an interview on School of the Hard Knocks, Aboyeji said the foundation of lasting businesses is not luck or funding but strong systems, talented teams, and a commitment to creating value for others.

The co-founder of Andela and Flutterwave encouraged entrepreneurs to focus on solving meaningful problems instead of chasing quick success. He also stressed the importance of mentorship, collaboration, and humility, noting that sustainable businesses are built by people working together toward a shared vision.

His message comes at a time when African startups continue to attract global investment and prove that world-class companies can emerge from the continent despite economic and infrastructure challenges.

For Black Castle of Africa, Aboyeji’s story reinforces a belief that has always driven the company: Africa’s future will be shaped by creators, innovators, and entrepreneurs who choose to build rather than wait for opportunities.

As more African founders push the boundaries of business, Aboyeji’s journey stands as a reminder that global impact can begin with a simple idea, a dedicated team, and the courage to keep building.

Tems Makes History with Diamond Certification in the U.S.

Nigerian music star Tems has made history by becoming the first African female artist to receive a Diamond-certified single from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).

The achievement comes through “Wait For U,” her collaboration with American rapper Future and Canadian superstar Drake. The hit record has now surpassed 10 million certified units in the United States, with music tracking platform Chart Data reporting that it has sold more than 11 million units in the country.

The milestone marks another major achievement for African music on the global stage and further cements Tems’ place among the world’s most influential artists.

THE ULTIMATE CREATIVE DEBATE: Nigeria vs. Ghana 🇳🇬🔥🇬🇭

When we talk about a "traditional level of growth," we look at creators who built massive empires block-by-block, entirely from the underground, without quick viral shortcuts.

Today, we are putting two West African creative powerhouses side-by-side:

📷 LEFT: Korty EO (Nigeria) 🇳🇬The master of the raw, indie documentary style.
She stripped away the loud celebrity hype of Lagos and taught a whole generation how to build an authentic digital ecosystem using just a camera, deep questions, and relentless focus.

📷 RIGHT: Wode Maya (Ghana) 🇬🇭The grassroots king who started as an ordinary student abroad, took a cheap camera, and single-handedly built Africa’s biggest independent travel journalism network. He literally laid the tracks for modern African tourism content.

Both champions started with nothing but a lens, a heavy vision, and an underground hustle.

But whose creative ex*****on and organic growth strategy do you respect more?
