Does God Speak When Self is Involved? Letâs Talk.đ
Have you ever felt so sure God was leading you, only to realize later it wasnât Him? It happened to me recently, and I want to share what I learned.
After my study time yesterday, I reflected on something that happened the day before. I felt a strong leading in my spirit and assumed it was from God. I prayed about it and went on with my day.
But when I got home, I felt unsettled. Something didnât sit right. Thatâs when the Holy Spirit gently reminded me of a scripture He had once shown me. It was like He was saying, âLook closely at this.â
So, I took a step back and evaluated the situation. Thatâs when I saw it clearlyâself was at the center of it all. The âleadingâ was all about how it would benefit me, make me comfortable, and suit my desires.
I asked God for forgiveness, but that moment taught me something valuable: When self is involved, itâs hard to hear God clearly. You may mistake the voice of self to be his.
Why am I telling you this?
Think about choosing a partner. Many of us make up our minds firstâhow much we like them, how good we feel around themâand then ask God for confirmation. Hereâs the problem: by that point, your heart is already set. And when your heart is involved, itâs easy to mistake your own desires for Godâs voice.
You pray and feel âpeace,â but deep down, that peace is tied to what you want. You convince yourself itâs God leading you, but when things go wrong, you wonder why He let it happen.
Hereâs the truth:
When self is involved, what youâre hearing is often the voice of your emotions, not God.
So, how do you avoid this?
1. Seek God early. Donât wait until youâve already made up your mind. Ask Him to lead you before emotions cloud your judgment.
2. Surrender your desires. Be honest with yourself: are you open to a ânoâ from God? Or are you just looking for Him to validate your choice?
3. Be neutral. Donât approach God with Hollywood dreams of your future with someone. Ask Him to guide you clearly, whether itâs yes, no, or wait.
God wants the best for you, but you have to let Him lead. Trust Him to guide you without self getting in the way. His plans are always better than ours.
I'm rooting for youâŁïž

Growing up, there were certain things I wish I had known as a teenager regarding this subject. Unfortunately, the only "s*x education" I received was the common warning: "Donât let a boy touch you, or youâll get pregnant."
Guess what? That was information, but it was incomplete. You canât make informed decisions with half-baked truths.
As I matured, I noticed changes in my body and emotionsâpart of which included attraction to the opposite s*x. But because my knowledge was limited, I found myself vulnerable to emotional and s*xual abuse, unsure of what to do or how to navigate those experiences.
Why am I sharing this?
Because we can do better. We can equip teens and youths with the right knowledge to protect them from unnecessary trauma. Thatâs why Iâm making S*x Education Unfiltered available to them.
This book covers:
â The truth about s*x, emotions, and attraction
â How to set boundaries and handle peer pressure
â Understanding body changes and s*xual urges
â The consequences of misinformation about s*x
â How to make informed decisions without fear or ignorance
This material has been carefully reviewed by mentors, ensuring itâs safe, appropriate, and empowering for young minds.
Itâs valued at âŠ10,000, but Iâve decided to give it out for freeâbecause, for me, impact matters more than income.
Iâll always make money, but right now, the priority is saving a teen or youth by giving them access to complete, unfiltered information.
Click the link in the comment section to download it and thank me later. Also, kindly drop a feedback/reviewâit will help verify the authenticity of this book and encourage more people to read it.

Happy birthday, anniversary, God's Delight đ
Now unto you, Annie, I decree Isaiah 62:4, this day:
"Youâll get a brand-new name straight from the mouth of God. Youâll be a stunning crown in the palm of Godâs hand, a jeweled gold cup held high in the hand of your God. No more will anyone call you Rejected, and your country will no more be called Ruined. Youâll be called Hephzibah (My Delight), and your land Beulah (Married) because God delights in you, and your land will be like a wedding celebration."
Amen.
And to you seeing this, every day in this month will count greatly for us all, In Jesus' Nameđđ
