I suddenly remembered the whole plan BlueCo came with when they bought Chelsea — buy young talents for cheap, develop them, then sell them once their value increases. And honestly, that’s exactly what has been happening since they arrived.

This club used to move differently during the Roman Abramovich era. We competed for trophies every single season and signed players ready to win immediately. Now it feels like Chelsea has become a long-term business project instead of a football club chasing greatness.

One danger of constantly buying “upcoming” talents is this: the moment things stop going well, some of them start looking for the next big move… forgetting Chelsea gave them the platform in the first place.

Look at Enzo Maresca for example. Chelsea gave him the opportunity after the Championship, and later reports came out about him sharing internal information with Manchester City behind the scenes. That alone says a lot.
