This is to showcase our rich cultural heritage and put Rivers state on the international scene as we will be hosting visitors from different countries round the world. We are positive that it will be a successful event as we pray to make it a yearly festival

Nigerian Wrestler, Blessing Oborududu became the first Nigerian to win a wrestling medal representing Nigeria at the Olympics when she won a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.
Blessing Oborududu is from Bayelsa, a Niger Delta State.
The Niger Delta is been blessed with traditional wrestling. Some of the biggest wrestlers are from the region.
The Niger Delta Traditional wrestling festival Open aims to Celebrate these people and keep promoting the traditional wrestling that has made the region known.

Renew Group announces Niger Delta Traditional Wrestling Festival Open.
Renew Group of Companies, have announced the Niger Delta Traditional Wrestling Festival open, a festival to promote to traditional wrestling of the Niger Delta People. The presentation was made on Wednesday at Renew Empire located at #160 Aker road, Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt.
The event will also feature food cooking competition and a beauty contest that will have prizes to be won.
President of Renew Group, Eng. Gospel Obolo during the presentation said the main aim of the festival is to promote the traditional wrestling which have been a centre point of the Niger Delta and the Nigerian people.
Talking about the event he said,
"There will be display of wrestling, traditional dance, varieties of food desplay and traditional food cooking competition and, Face of Niger Delta traditional wrestling Festival.
